These very comfortable corduroy Mary janes reminded me of the very popular black fabric shoes that everybody had in the 80's. These are more modern in style and super comfortable. Advertised as a dance shoe, this product has fairly heavy plastic soles that have a non slip pattern . This was the only feature that suggested dance to me. This was a comfortable shoe and I expect it to be heavily rotated in my fall wardrobe.

I wish the top of this shoe didn't constrict the instep of my feet, because I really like these shoes, but they are painfully tight across the instep. It's not even the strap that is tight, that one is fine. It's the edge of the toe portion that goes up over the top of my foot.... it is entirely too snug for anyone with any sort of instep at all. I had to return them, despite the shoe fitting in every other way. The instep part was just too tight and painful.

Straps fell apart pretty quickly and I nearly twisted my ankle multiple times due to how loose the shoes were and I downsized to a 8.5 from a women’s size 9.5
