Round Toilet Seat w/Chromed Metal Hinges, Wood, White

Very impressed with the quality. Didn't find one rough spot or flaw when installing and install was easy. I like the satiny finish and the chrome hinges look nice after years of the plastic things that snap down over the hardware. Good value for the money.

I just got my new toilet seat and am really impressed. I was looking for a sturdy seat after having replaced my Bemis seats 3 times in the last 2 years. They were pretty much all that were available at my local hardware store but were all cracking within a few months of use. I have a relative who weighs alot and expect that contributed to the breakages. This new seat is truly sturdy and looks great.The 4 bumpers on the bottom of the seat look like they might help prevent these breaks. The seat was so easy to install and had great instructions so I could do it myself (I'm a widow in my 70's and not terribly handy.) instead of waiting until one of my sons-in-law could get to it. Also, the finish looks really good and flawless, unlike the Bemis seats I've had in the past. This seat seems well worth the money and the chrome hinges are a nice touch.

The seat was easy to install and closely matched the color and shape of the toilet bowl opening--no complaints here. I also like the contour of the seat and find it comfortable to sit on. In fact, I sometimes consider "extending my stay" when I have good material to read such as . This is probably TMI but thought you should get the real "poop", uh...I mean "scoop"!

This looks quite nice, once installed, but the installation had issues. Here is the problem: The seat has four supports that sit on the lip of your toilet. In order for the hinged pieces to mount flush on the toilet, the plane of your toilet rim must be the same as the surface of your toilet where the hinges are mounted. Although I have a standard 10 year old toilet, it was not made that way. The section where the hinges mount is recessed about 1/8 of an inch lower than the rim, so when I tightened hinges the toilet seat elevated. Not good. It took two 30 mile round trips to the hardware store to get the correct spacers. The manufacturer could have included them for pennies.

We bought 2 expensive toilet seats at a famous diy store; both of them broke within 10 days. After suffering several "slides & pinches," I look on line and found TOPSEAT. It had really good reviews, metal hinges and looked durable enough to last. They arrived promptly and my husband installed them as soon as he came home from work. I can't believe I could get so excited about sitting on a toilet, but.... There I was shouting in the bathroom, "I LOVE MY NEW TOILET SEAT!" :-) It has been 2 months and I find myself more pleased with this purchase than when I bought my car. I know it's silly but, IT'S TRUE! If you're looking for a durable, yet comfortable seat, look no further than TOPSEAT. if we move, it's coming with us!

I worried for over two hours about self-installing a new toilet seat when the original one (builder grade plastic) broke at the hinge. NO NEED! After unscrewing the broken toilet seat and disposing of it, the instructions for this Topseat seat were clear, mostly pictures, but clearly understandable. Ten minutes later I had a fully installed WOOD toilet seat with METAL hinges that is secure, feels substantial compared to the original and with no shift or wiggle room. This is a well made, well finished product that has a nice sheen, fits PERFECTLY and is unbelievably easy to install. I really like it! Don't waste money on a higher priced item, this is perfect!

This white toilet seat which is wood, is amazing. It's strong, it's shiny, it's really white, (polar white) and I love it so much, I have to buy one for my friend.

Within one week of the item being installed, as I was cleaning the seat I noticed a crack on the underside of the seat and bubbling next to it due to the opening as you can see in the pictures. This was a well-maintained seat which got damaged within a week. Horrible construction, returning asap. I just hope to God they don't make me return this item, which will prove that they reuse and refinish used items. Will keep everyone updated as soon as I get in touch with Amazon CS. Edit: Amazon wanted me to return it, but they redirected my call to a TopSeat representative who assured me that they don't sanitize and resell used products. They allowed me to keep the damaged one, and I just received the new one. Installation was as easy as before, and so far so good. No damage, seems sturdier than the first one I received which was probably just defective. Will keep everyone updated if I encounter any problems at all. Good work from both Amazon CS and TopSeat CS.
