My order of 4 Bison tie down straps arrived today from Amazon and I wanted to give you my opinion. Firstly, they are great quality, strong straps and simple but effective buckles which seem designed not to catch on anything. I’m happy to pay a premium for a premium quality item and these straps don’t disappoint and yet the cost is comparable with non-branded straps. Secondly, they come with a smart pouch to store them in which is a really useful addition. I will definitely be looking at other Bison Gear goods in the future

I bought this bison gear straps for our move, and it works perfect for our estate car that is fitted with roof rails and racks. The straps are very strong and very easy to use. We put our 2m bookshelf on the roof rack and the straps held it very tight and strong. No movement at all and it was very easy to use, and the length of 5m for each strap is just perfect. I could not ask for a better product at this price for its purpose. Definitely recommending these straps to everyone.

I've bought many, many buckle straps over the years, from all different brands, at all different price points. These are great, well made, strong and reliable. The cheapest buckle straps are prone to failure when putting them under a lot of tension (especially when pulled across corners) and usually snap suddenly (there's no warning from visible fraying usually), but these thicker style straps are much more forgiving and long lasting. Buy them and you won't regret it!

Brilliant straps for pitting the kayak on the roof! Really sturdy, and a great length which means there’s lots of strap to go round the kayak and enough to give it a pull to secure. We’ve had lots of straps before but these have been the best. I’d like to see a neoprene sleeve over the metal buckle to prevent damage to the paintwork, but that’s the only negative I have an the only reason I deducted a star. As it is, you’ve just got to be gentle!

So far so good, used once for a 1,000 mile round trip to hold stuff down inside a roof box. They worked great were strong and didnt move at all. They are very long, but as they were on offer thought why not, in my opinion good value for money. Easy to use just thread, pull and done.

Good quality and good value; four straps for less than a pair of branded ones. OK, they might not have the padding around the cam buckle that branded ones sometimes have, but then you (hopefully) wouldn’t position the buckle directly against the unprotected surface of your new custom board..?! I chose these for the extra length, we’re often loaded up with a full quiver of boards, inc hard SUPS and the occasional kayak (or wardrobe. or gate/s. or animal feeders.. etc etc) Good tip on another review recommending cutting the strap ends at an angle to make feeding them thru the buckle easier (obvs needs to be done carefully, and sealed with a flame, to prevent fraying) Comes in a handy zip bag too.

The straps are really well made with good strong buckles. The ridging on the strap fabric means they hold very well. Only slight improvement (which you can do yourself) is to cut the end at 45 degrees (and then seal the cut edge with gentle flame) so easier to initially feed through the buckle. Such good value. Compared to Halfords own brand (poor quality) and Thule (so expensive). Plus if you then send photo of items in use they send (as at May 2024 at least) 2 extra ones as a bonus gift next day delivery. Am amazed at the price, quality and service

Used it to strap down and reduce the Berghaus Air 600 tent size. Works a treat as the teething clips are not sharp and there’s no risk of damaging the tent. Very sturdy straps I’m sure they will be multi used on roof rack on my travels

Strong webbing, sturdy straps, work perfectly and securely.

Ordered from Amazon and arrived today (took 2 days to deliver), there were so many great reviews on this product which normally I don't trust since been burnt before on just trusting reviews, but these straps are outstanding. I been using straps for decades in my trucks to secure various things and these are quick/easy compared to ratchet straps and locking mechanism has a ton of teeth on them that our throughout the mechanism (not just on the very end of the clip like I seen on other products I used in the past). once locked it doesn't budge and release causes zero damage to the material. Also, lifetime warranty which is why I went with this compared to others since they build their product to last (won't be cost effective to build with cheap parts and have to satisfy a ton of warranty claims) and they stand behind their product. extremely satisfied and wish all companies made stuff to last versus cheap stuff that ends up in landfills! if you need straps buy these, you won't regret,

Just what I wanted to tie down the portable refrigerator in my SUV. The straps appear to be well made and come in a handy draw string bag.

These seem really solid. Immediately felt confident my kayaks were secure upon first strap up. I’ve gone through many flimsy straps and these don’t feel flimsy at all. Drove an hour each way at 100-120 km and the straps held beautifully. No loosening. Completely satisfied and will order more.

This is the absolute best for transporting anything at the top of our car! Super easy to use, locks in position and great sturdy material
