LUCHENG 1PCS of Focusable Laser Torch High Power with Blue Color - 5W

Received mine today and love it so far. I already had a 1W Spyder Arctic from Wicked Lasers so I had some basis for comparison to see if the advertised power was what the description claims. It seems to be. While I don’t have a photometer, the warning label on the device says that the maximum output is 5000 mW (5W). I tested it on the white instruction sheet that came with the device, which very quickly (almost immediately) began to smoke. It took less than 5 seconds to put a hole through a few layers of the white paper. For comparison, my 1W Wicked Spyder Arctic is not able to burn white paper at all, even at full power. Based on this test the laser definitely appears to have far north of 1W and probably has the advertised 5W.The unit is pretty well constructed too. It is made of the same material as my Arctic, which is anodized aluminum. I suspect that you’d have to give this thing some serious punishment to break it, but I won’t be putting that to the test. It seems very sturdy and well made. The lenses are kind of gimmicky and I don’t see myself using them, but they and the included battery charger are a nice touch.I also appreciated the protective glasses, which you absolutely should wear. This laser is really, really bright and you should never look at its beam directly without protection.
