This product is specifically marketed by the manufacturer for men. However, if you read the product description, you will find that there is no apparent reason why women smokers cannot use this lip wash for brightening dry, dark and pigmented lips. Yes, ALANNA has a product for women but it is not designed for smokers.Initially, I found the design of the bottle to be unwieldy and clunky. However, after using it for the first time, I realized that a lot of thought had gone into the product design. The bottle contains a liquid but it sprays foam onto your lips. The spray head has a detachable soft silicone brush which you can use to massage the foam over your lips. You can clean it by simply holding the spray head under running water.It is actually very easy to use. Simply pout your lips and spray once on them. This dispenses enough product for one application. Then use your finger or the silicone brush head to gently massage the foam all over your lips for around five-ten seconds. Some of the foam may enter your mouth but I did not notice any taste or fragrance. Wash it off and follow up with a lip moisturiser of your choice and you’re done.I am using this lip cleanser at night before going to bed. Obviously, you cannot see brightening results after two or three applications but my lips feel softer and smoother whenever I use it. The lip wash also gently exfoliates dead skin without causing any irritation.It is important to remember not to exfoliate too aggressively. That will cause irritation and micro-injuries which in turn will cause more dryness and pigmentation.According to the seller, I should see brightening results after 4 weeks of continuous use. Once I reach the 4 week mark, I will update this review with my results.From what I have seen so far, I really appreciate the soft and smooth feeling from using this lip wash. Based on my experience, I would recommend this product to men and women alike.
