Hey! This is a fun novelty clarinet! And it's green! no, it's green, that's not a metaphor...it's green...really
I'm an old seasoned player but put my horns down 20 years ago when they were broken beyond repair and haven't played since. I was thinking of buying a Buffet, but they are a few thousand and thought, what if I don't really play anymore. Then I saw this bright green clarinet for $89 with all the trimmings, and thought "WHAT?" I had to find out if it was any good at all.Well, this is a fun clarinet. Yes, it's a green novelty. For playing, it's just as good as any of the black cheap clarinets that have been on the market for years. I'm a seasoned player, and it works better than my old stencil clarinet. The sound isn't quite as mellow as a fine wood clarinet, but hey! it's less than $100! I think my first band director when I was a kid would have gotten a big kick out of it. It's not for stuffed shirt band directors who want everything in black and dull, but if a kid would like to play it because it is pink, or green or yellow, hey, let them. No clarinet is an instant easy instrument. They take practice to get the muscles built up to play right. With practice work, wind control gets a decent sound out of this instrument. The two barrels help with the tone. I match the notes of the teachers on YouTube and am not flat or sharp. Now with all that said, I've had it for less than a week and put about 3-5 hours a day of playing on it. It's fine. If it develops a problem, I'll repost. If it doesn't, for the price I'll get a few other colors for added fun!

Really a good buy
This is my first clarinet. I bought this particular one because I was unsure if I will be able to play it ( I have health issues) and I didn't want to waste a wad of money. I did not expect too much out of this instrument, for $80. I was pleasantly surprised. The construction is quite sturdy. I bought the black model and the body feels quite solid. I was actually able to blow it and hammer out the first 8 notes although it blows a bit hard with the reeds that shipped with it (2.5). I have a box of Rico 1.5 reeds on the way and expect it to be easier with those. I had heard that the thumb rest is flimsy on this clarinet. On mine, it is perhaps not the strongest thing in the world, but good enough for my first clarinet.I got a small jar of cork grease in which there was the tiniest amount of grease. I used about a third of it's contents the first time. So, if you order this clarinet, consider ordering a tube of cork grease with it. That said, the grease worked and the instrument assembled without too much effort. It is pretty stiff, but you want that with brand new corks. All of the corks and pads were present and in new condition, unlike what some others said they experienced. All of the keys were unbent and operate smoothly. The instrument has quite a good tone for a beginner horn.Overall impression: It isn't a professional clarinet, but you knew that when you considered paying $80. It is, however, a very good instrument for the money. I would definitely recommend it.

Very Good Sound and Looks Beautiful
First of all, I got the traditional black with silver keys. I thought the instrument was very beautiful but I'm not very pleased with the little amount of cork grease I recieved. I understand you rarely need to use it, but it is nice to know you'll for sure have enough. Other than that the sound is great and all the keys seem to be working so far. The reeds are a bit difficult to get used to because I am not used to this brand yet. Other than that, I have no complaints. It came early in the mail. It looks and sounds so amazing. Even the case is of good quality. I highly recommend.

Good clarinet
As an internationally recognized clarinet artist I own Buffets and recently this little clarinet. Amazing as if it’s used with professional reeds, mouthpiece and pro ligature it sounds really warm and responsive and I can play C4’s easily. I use this clarinet in my demos to elementary and middle school students then I perform on my very expensive Buffet and RZ Clarinet and the students are impressed with how all blend so beautifully.I recommend this for a beginner.

Great beginner clarinet after coming back after years of playing
Great beginner clarinet after coming back after years of playing. It was really hard for my to adjust the tone/pitch of the clarinet, but it is a great clarinet for its price.

Reids are the problem...
Its a good Clarinet it just doesn't work well with 2.5 sized reids (the reids that came with it). The reid that was on the clarinet when arrivied work but the ones in the box don't seem to work. So make sure to by Size 2 Reids if you want this clarinet, my sons music teacher says "it sounds really good when we they checking the tune.

Great Quality for the Price
Bought as a gift for my adult son who wanted to take up the clarinet. He had not played since early high school. He loves it. Says it has great tone and its quality is much higher than its price. Arrived on time in perfect condition.

This item was perfect for my daughter. She is 10 and just beginning to play. I do recommend checking with the instructor before purchasing a colored instrument as different bands...
