Nelson's Little Book of Where To Find It in the Bible

I had a larger version of this which I gave to my husband when he became a Christian and started studying the Bible. He ended up passing it on to an older woman who was also learning to study the Bible. It is a wonderful reference. MY only disappointment (and it is my fault) is that I didn’t read the description to realize it was a pocket version. I will keep it as it was my error but the print is very small not great for our older eyes! I will reorder the larger full size book.

First, I was very disappointed at the small size of the book and the small font size. Attached is a photograph of the book next to a standard manilla folder that holds 8.5"x11" papers. Amazon frequently shortens the item description now, and I did not select the "read more" hyper-link to see that it was accurately described as "pocket size." So that you are aware, this little book is thick with 309 pages.This book is 100% index by categories that the author created, in alphabetical order. Page 1 categories are: "Ability, Abortion, Abstinence." There are also diverse categories such as "Riddle, Ring, and Rock and Roll." A Table of Contents/Index does not exist that summarizes and lists each and every category. You have to scan through the book if you are looking for something in particular. The topic that I wanted wasn't in there specifically, but there are some that are in the ballpark. This book does not include any discussion/interpretation by the author regarding the various topics. There is another book out there that does this, if you are interested. I ordered it, but haven't received it yet. I may update this review later with the title if I recommend it.

This book is perfect for the quick search for scripture. From Marriage, Depression, Crowds, Work etc. There is always comfort when you're able to find the answers to questions you're seeking.I have a Large book copy and now this little pocket size book. I purchased an additional 4 for a gift so I could share with my Bible Study Sisters. This book would also certainly help when witnessing to other people.

The book measure 31/2 by 5 1/4. It is very very small. The print is very very small. There are 309 pages. The side of the book is marked alphabetically which is nice and there is scripture reference which is also good. I wasn't aware the book was as small as it is.

I have an older copy I have had for years. This version is smaller and easier to use. This book makes a great gift to anyone seeking knowledge within the Bible. Unlike a concordance, this book uses words that we use today, and sends you to every passage possible on almost every subject you may be looking for answers. Not just the chapter and verse, but also a briefing of the verse. I used to buy these by the multiples and give them away to help people find what they were looking for in the bible. This book allows those who may not have learned all of the bible or have just begun to quickly find how the bible speaks about our everyday issues. I recommend this book to all who are interested in the bible to purchase this book, the way this book groups all of the texts under a specific word, allows you to learn more easily.

Next time I'm ordering the large size. Theres alot more words than the smaller sizes. Great books! Subjects you wouldnt even know as being in the bible! Great!

This book's downfall is it's lack of an index. This makes it slower to use as a quick-reference book. However, it contains a good quantity of references in its 578 pages. To give you and idea of what it's 3,7000 topics entail, uncommon topics like "Coup", "Erosion", Chatter etc., have only a couple of Bible references each, while more common biblical topics such as "Obedience", "Missionary", "Courage" etc., carry hundreds of Bible references each.

I bought this little book for my daughter so that she could find where things were in the bible. I saw it when I visited her and was very pleased with it, price wise and for the content.It is very good that I can send items straight to my relatives and frinds through Amazon.

Where to find it in the bible, the ultimate a to z resource is similar to a bible concordance but some topics are more contemporary. I use this a-z resource as an extension to my bible concordance. It works for me.

This book has so many areas covered for general information and links to the bible. Very good - always areas for additional info though - the bible has endless references for today.
