Form Fit Function And Price Meet My Needs For A Tactical Jacket.
UPDATE: had the jacket for about 2 months. This is a good jacket. Roomy, warm and functional. The only adjustment I am considering: the chest pocket zippers when zipped open, the traveler bottoms out at the bottom of the pocket. I worry that something might easily slip out. I plan to put a stitch in the zipper track an inch above the fully open/down position to create a bit of depth to the pocket. Happy with my purchase. /// Just received it. Packaged well. Seams look solid. Shell and lining look solid. Construction seems solid. Fit is good. Zipper is secure. Pockets appear solid. Waist and hood draw strings are functional and cuff gathers work as they should. Got mine in olive drab. Went by the sizing guide and got an XL. Fits properly. I will use this at outdoor all-weather tactical shooting events where weather is random. I am in the American north east. Saw some questions about why the double zipper travelers, and why the front pockets are so high and in front, and why is the hood oversized. This jacket is meant to be tactical. If you are wearing anything around your waist - like an equipment duty belt - hand pockets at waist level will make the waist of the jacket - over the duty belt - be way oversized. Also, the double zipper travelers help with accessing your duty belt from the bottom of the zipper rather than unzipping from the top and letting the weather in. Also, the hood is oversized to fit headgear like ear protection and a hat, etc. This jacket seems to fit my needs. I will update this review after wearing it at an event. So far, I am happy with the fit, function and price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a garment to meet similar needs.

Perfect for FISHING
โขWarmth: This jacket is perfect for โlayeringโ. Meaning, if youโre in snow or really cold temps and want to just wear โjustโ the jacket you will be cold. But Iโve worn it on a boat in the 40 degree cold going 65+ mph (felt like 2 degrees) and no wind or rain gets in it. I fish with a hoodie and this jacket over and I am incredibly warm. โขWater proof/wind proof: Wind proof was one of the biggest reasons I needed this jacket and itโs 100% both water and wind proof. Iโve been in downpour with no cover and my body stayed dry. Winds on a boat did not get in at all. โขHood: The hood has GREAT draw strings around the face area as well as the standard draw string location. This is HUGE when your going 60mph on the water in the cold so it hugs the sides of your face. The jacket zipper goes high enough to give you a mouth covering which I love to keep that freezing wind off your mouth and neck in high winds. โขWaist/ Wrist: The waist/wrist have a NICE draw string (waist) and Velcro system (wrists) so wind doesnโt go in the jacket and keeps the warm in. โขThickness: Itโs plenty thick, I would say the equivalent to the thickness of jeans then you add the fleece layer and itโs definitely a good jacket. I think when you read the reviews saying itโs thin is because people are expecting a snow jacket. But if you wear a sweater or hoodie with this over it, you will be warm Iโd say in temps of 35-40ish depending on if you tighten all the draw strings to insulate. Now if you want to go below the 35 range Iโd either get a different jacket or wear thermal layer and a cold weather hoodie with this over it. โขSize: Iโm 5โ10 245lbs chubby and a 2xl fits perfect โifโ you are layering with a hoodie or sweater. If you want a sleek fit or if you wear thermals not a bulky sweater Iโd go with an XL. This will make the sleeves and body fit tighter to the body. So far Iโm happy with this jacket. I will update in a couple of months of fishing with it on to let you know how it holds up. If the 5 star is still up that means I still have no issues.

Have learned to love it
This jacket is really growing on me. I initially ordered an XL and was swimming in it. It was much too big. Replaced with a Large and that was a little too tight. European/Asian sizing is different than USA sizing. But there was no in between with the XL and the Large; the XL was way too big and the Large is a little small. Since losing some weight it fits better-still a little tight, though. Will continue to loosen up as I continue to diet. At first I decided all the pockets and zippers (9 total) were silly and just added to make the jacket look cool. They're actually pretty useful. The arm pockets hold my iPhone 11 perfectly, and the wrist pocket on the left side is the perfect size for cards and cash. I don't carry a wallet and don't like heavy things in my pants pockets pulling them down. You can stuff your hands in the two stomach pockets when they're cold. The armpit zippers let hot air out and cool air in. Sweating in cold weather can be dangerous. There is a rather large two-zippered pocket in the back at the bottom of the jacket. What a useful place for a "storage" pocket. And its huge. You could easily put some survival gear in there, like a knife and lighter and emergency blanket, etc. This jacket could act as somewhat of a backpack itself with all the stuff you could cram into it. Or you could just carry oversized everyday items in it. The back of the jacket comes down a little farther than the front, providing extra coverage for bending over and sitting. The hood has a little bill on it for extra rain coverage. I wear a baseball hat to keep it out of my eyes. There are barrel tighteners on each side to tighten it to your head. The hood can be rolled up and secured with the wide built-in Velcro strap, then the hood becomes a collar when it's not raining or snowing. There are two more barrel tighteners along the waist if you want to keep your core from losing heat. With all the zippers this could conceivably be a three-season jacket. Will have to test it in the summer when raining. Have worn this is steady rain and snow and is absolutely waterproof. The only negative thing about this jacket is it's loud. It crinkles and snaps as you walk around. An excellent $50 jacket that took me a while to appreciate. But I'm loving it now.

Decent buy for the $
Update to my previous review: Now having worn this jacket a few times and in heavy rain, I would say quality and construction are good value. My problems are related to the design. The torso length is just too short for an XL. I am 6'2", and the jacket barely reaches my waist. More significantly, nearly all the pockets are useless. The front pockets are far too high, useless for hands, and too shallow to store anything significant. You'd think that being up high, the front pockets would extend down deeper, but they don't. Also, when zipped, the front pocket zippers hang at your nipples, which is just weird. The lower back (?) and wrist pockets are pointless. The only semi-usable pockets are the upper arm, as they have decent depth. Former review: Good buy for the $. I was concerned about the sizing based on other reviews and ordered an XL, and quite thankful I did, as it fits snug. It is shorter in the torso than I expected, barely reaches below the belt. I am 6โ2โ, w/ 35โ waist. If youโre bigger, youโll want a XXL. I live in the FL panhandle and was just looking for an affordable tactical rain jacket. I also have a 5.11 jacket and I would say this is fairly comparable and 1/2 the price.

I love this jacket. Great in the rain.
I love everything about this jacket except the fact that I believe it has cheap zippers. The fit is great, it's actually warmer than my other (previous) rain coat, and it's got loads of storage space. Plus, it looks great. I don't need the velcro patches on the arm... I've done my time in the service, and don't need to be a poser. This is a great foul weather jacket. The hood is particularly great, and this will certainly keep you dry.

A Well Engineered coat. Just smaller in size
It is a little smaller than I thought it would be, I ordered an XX-Large and it fits good, (I normally wear an XL) but if I have on a thick sweater, this coat is a little tight on me. It is made well, with good fabric for cutting the wind, nice design with sippers under the arm pits when you are working or walking or just need to cool down some, the hood is good to have on those cold and windy days. I would recommend it, just order a larger size than normal.

Arm patch missing, TWICE !
This is the SECOND jacket I've received which DID NOT include the American flag patch, for the sleeve. Since the patch was a VERY important part of the purchase, the first jacket was returned for credit, in the HOPE that the second jacket would include the patch. It didn't. I'll keep the jacket but am very disappointed that the patch was missing - TWICE !!!!! So if receiving the patch, too, is important to you ? I don't recommend ordering this jacket for that reason !!

Good as winter jacket only
Everything was perfect except zip.. item is well build with waterproof material, but water will enter through your front zipper & you will be wasted in rain.
