Really easy to installa, good cam picture

This machine cannot read my hard drive, I purchased a new Seagate 2TB hard drive, it cannot read it, I put in an old 2TB hard drive and it does not recognize that either, when I put those two hard drives into one of my other DVRs they work! The DVR is defective. I do not want another one, this is the sixth Lonnky unit I have purchase, I have returned four of them, enough of this stuff, take this junk off in here, you think I'd be smart enough after the first one not to buy any more, my system was set up using Lonnky and I didn't want to have to replace it with something else, but I'm going to have to do it anyway. Don't buy their products

Well-made and easy to install HDD

I wanted to upgrade my security system but I had very limited choice since I had some pre-requirements. Well, this one was one of the few falling into that category. The time will tel about durability of this product but for now everything seems to be OK.Pro: 1) This DVR has a BNC (CVBS) video output (very few have this and I needed it to connect to an RF modulator) 2) Connects to both analog (CVBS) cameras and IP (ONVIF) cameras 3) Connects to your laptop directly via your local LAN network without external service (just type its IP address into the browser) 4) Watch remotely (live and replay) anywhere using mobile app or My Cloud service on a PC without additional DNS serviceCon: 1) I wish the box (housing) was a little bit bigger, comparing to may older DVR is 1/4 of the size, concern about overheating 2) The monitoring (over LAN or over internet) besides the HD has a lousy sub-stream for SD, looks real bad (only 352x240p) 3) If you are not familiar with basic network protocols, the manual will not provide enough info to successfully set it up 4) BNC Sockets for video inputs are to close, it's very difficult to twist the BNC connector on because of the tight space 5) Finally, monitoring on a PC works over Internet Explorer only but there is a workaround with IE Tab Extension for Chrome.

Have not used it because I did not realize that you have to buy and install a hard drive for it to work, it does say no HD, I thought that meant (high definition) not (hard drive)What can I say I’m old
