Convenient
This 4-port USB hub is a great addition to my desk setup. The individual power switches with LED indicators make it easy to control each device without unplugging anything. It’s compact, easy to use, and works well with my keyboard, mouse, and flash drives. Great for organizing multiple USB devices and keeping everything powered and connected. Solid performance at a great price!

Great item, everyday usage
Ever since I purchase this, I have been using it daily so I can connect to a second monitor, laptop fan, mouse and keyboard (wired). Now I do wish I can use a bigger one. Quality, usb connection and functionality is great. Size is small which good for certain tight spaces.

Sabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Individual Power Switches
I needed to add a couple of extra USB 2.0 ports to a small desktop and thought I would give this product a try. Here is what I liked:1. Inexpensive.2. Four ports (three more than you started with since you use one port to plug this into) that can each be turned off by pressing the button above the port. When the port is enabled (powered) there is a blue LED that lights. You can turn each port on or off independently of the other ports.3. Small, this is a very compact design. What I did not like as much:1. This is not a robust hub! The construction is such that with care it should perform well. It will NOT stand up to an abusive environment!2. VERY short connector cord (4 inches).3. No mounting provisions.I wound up using double stick tape to attach this device to the back of my computer. This keeps it out of harms way. I also put stress relief on all cables attaching to this so that they would not put undue stress on the hub. Using it in this way, the device performs exactly what I was looking for. I use this to connect the keyboard, mouse, and printer. None of those devices has a large current draw. This is important because this device does NOT have a separate power supply and you are therefore depending upon the original port you connected to for all power to all devices on this hub.Considering the price and as long as you remember the limitations that I mentioned, this hub performs well for the price you are paying for it.

Does what I want
Works good. There are less expensive ones, but I want one where each port can be turned off/on, that this does. Wanted to add more USB ports to my laptop. have this stuck on with 2 sided tapes.

Great little USB hub
I don't know what's going on with computer manufacturers now but they seem to be adding fewer and fewer USB ports to laptops. I've got an 8 year old laptop sitting here that has 4 USB ports, an ethernet port and an HDMI port in it. It's a stock ASUS design and was dirt cheap when I bought it. My brand new HP Pavillion gaming laptop has 2 USB ports. I use my laptop mainly for slicing files for 3D printing, that means I need a mouse, a thumb drive and about 75% of the time my external drive, all of which need a USB port.I needed a USB hub, I needed it fast and cheap and this fit the bill. It works great for my needs and I've had zero serious issues with it. The only real complaint I have is with the cord length, it's the perfect lenght to be both slightly too short and too long at the same time. It's too short to mount it with double sided tape and be out of the way and it's just long enough to get in the way when I'm not using it.It's slightly slow when charging my mouse, but I knew it was a 2.0 when I bought it so I knew it would be a tad slow. I charge my mouse overnight, so it's not that big of a deal.I've had zero connectivity issues with it and the power buttons are nice for those time where I don't want my external drive active but don't want to unplug it yet.Absolutely no regrets with this hub.

Worth it.
I have used many usb hubs in the past. All of the ones that were used by me had a external power supply. And they didnt even perform as well as this one. Which did not come with a external power. The only things I needed it for was my mouse, keyboard and wired game controller. My desktop replacement only has 3 usb ports. However one port is reserved for my bluetooth usb adapter, so I was constantly unplugging things. Because most of the time I am hooked up to a monitor for better resolution, my setup pretty much demands that I use a external usb keyboard. Fed up with unplugging things, I began the hunt for a usb hub again. Past hubs would often disconnect randomly, even when there were few devices plugged in. Once I saw the reviews for this item I decided to give it a try. I was also on a budget, so this one was fairly priced. Having been using it for nearly a week now, I must say this is the best working usb hub I have ever used for my setup. Have not had one disconnect since getting it. It does not come with a power supply, yet I see what appears to be a port for one. All I had to do was plug it in and vola. It also has buttons that activate and deactivate each port on it. Usually I only keep two ports active at all times. Other than whats plugged in, I dont use it for anything else. Because its powered from the computer, I am not going to plug high power devices into it, like usb external hard drives. For things like that I would recommend a good one with a external power. For what I needed it for, its actually really great. I am also running windows 10, and there are no compatibility issues. 5 our of 5 stars.
