SplitShot Skimmer Transducer, fits Lowrance HOOK2 Fish Finders,Gray

Good price, quick delivery, good performance. But...Poor quality plug, real negligence on manufacturer's part to use material on a mobile product that will not stand up to UV, IR exposure and not provide warning and direction in installation instructions. Mine dry rotted from sun exposure after few of years intermittent exposure. Wrap exposed plug and cord to avoid failure.

Replacement for my Hook2 reveal. Worked perfectly, so glad because the are discontinued. I believe it fits several models.

I have had my Lowrance Hook2 5X fish finder for just over 2 years. I have the transducer mounted inside the hull of my 12 foot fishing kayak, and had no issues with it for about a year, then it started giving me erroneous readings (.5' in 8' to 15' deep water, as an example) or it would cycle thru all of the depth ranges continuously.I don't fish that often, and thought maybe it was an error on my part, but it kept happening regardless of anything I did. (The unit also has Down Imaging, which worked perfectly thru all of this.A couple of weeks ago, I was on the Lowrance website, and found reference to a manufacturing issue where transducers with a serial number lower than the one published acted in the manner that mine was. I contacted Lowrance, as my transducer was in the range if the faulty ones. After much back and forth, because 1. I didn't have my proof-of-purchase on an out-of-warranty unit, and 2. my transducer was mounted inside my hull, Lowrance refused to replace the transducer. Since a $75 transducer is cheaper than a $350 Humminbird unit, I bought this transducer to replace my faulty one. (The first thing I did was check the serial no. LOL)IT works GREAT! I glued it in (again, inside my hull) just prior to a recent trip to the lake and it performed flawlessly. Both the Sonar and Down Imaging showed the fish below my boat.So, although I can recommend this piece as a replacement part, I won't recommend LOWRANCE as a company.

The new bracket was made out of hard aluminum. I am very pleased with this bracket. I was not expecting it to be metal. Very sturdy. Very nice. I am well pleased. Thank you very much for the speedy delivery.

The transducer looks like the correct one to replace the original one for my Hook Reveal 5 Splitshot and it was an easy replacement. However, the included manual inside the box indicates it should have included replacement rubber washers, steel washers, and nuts. Instead, I received a paper pouch in the box that had one rubber washer with nothing else. I had to re-use all of my old hardware from the original transducer.It's also concerning that my original Lowrance transducer only lasted 3 years before it became so brittle that it fell apart. Hopefully this one lasts a little longer.

Bought as replacement, but found the other one. I was able to use the mounting bracket and now have a spare, but I might try to sell it.
