Good deal for what I need
I am fairly pleased with the instrument. All of the parts were in good order and the workmanship is mostly good. The case is adequate and looks very nice. The only complaint is the finish. There are several lumps and bubbles and a nick but the effect on the playability is insignificant. The price was fair and shipping was simple. I am not a violin player but thought for the price it'd be fun to play around with. The quality and price point are perfect for my needs.

Very good for its price!
I played piano for almost 20 years, but I am totally new to violin, but I have to say this violin is far better than I expected. It does not sound cheap, definitely a worth buy considering the price. The reason I took out 1 star is that the bow was already seriously bent when it came, and after few days of playing I decided to buy a new 30$ bow.

Good violin for price and great for beginners
I was nervous at first before purchasing this violin because when is a violin ever this cheap but also great quality?? Anyways, I have had this one (4/4) for a long time now and it is in great shape! The sound is good quality and the case isn't half bad either! You have to put the bridge on and tune the strings before you play it of course so if you don't know how to do that you can youtube it or wait until you see your/a teacher. The only thing I had to get adjusted was when my violin teacher noticed the bridge's shape being off because the bridge that came with it wasn't made 100% to fit the curve of all the string so she put very tiny pieces of square shaped-paper under the A and G string and now it's perfect(hence the 4 stars for craftsmanship)! The bow that comes with it is pretty good quality too! I only lost one hair when I got it but that was months ago and it's still playing good! The rosin that comes with it is a light colored rosin and though it takes a few swipes to really get a good layer of rosin on your bow, I would 100% buy this violin set again if I needed another beginner's violin! Other than that, I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in buying a violin, but is unsure about quality, price, and type.

LITERAL TRASH :( So disappointed!
I bought this violin back in March but I just got around to opening it because I was busy with school at the time. It has a nice, glossy appearance but don't let looks fool you.1) The bow is made of plastic rather than horse hair which really gives the violin a terrible sound to start off with. The strings are also very bad quality.2) I went into the music shop and the violinist of 40+ years said this violin was A JOKE. :(3) It is impossible to tune! The fine tuners are fake and just there for decoration (serve no purpose). The pegs work for a single stroke, but after a few seconds, its bounces back and the strings go back to being untuned! With this violin, you are doomed to terrible sound. IT is only good for DECORATION. NOT playing unfortunately. I wish I would have opened it sooner to return this piece of garbage and not waste my money :'(. Do yourself a favor-- Whether you are a beginner or not-- buy a real violin. :'(

Good beginner choice
I donโt know much about violins because this is my first time trying one out. I feel pretty excited to learn the notes and playing something decent for the first time. So far, I was able to set up this violin within half an hour using a how-to video on YouTube. At first, I thought that it was a product I needed to return until I followed the instructions in the video and now I am able to produce sound. The quality of the wood is pretty decent and the price wasnโt bad.

Great Beginner Instrument
I've wanted to learn violin for a while, and this was an excellent starter kit. The case is light but sturdy, the bow seems great quality, and the violin itself sounds wonderful. Came with rosin and strings already in place. My only issue was the tuning pegs kept slipping when trying to tune it, but this was easily resolved by removing the strings and reinserting the tuning pegs more tightly. Overall very pleased!

Problems with product, return
It really is pretty low quality. The bow tensioner was broken. I returned it, and it's been 'pending' for a long time now. They sent me a second one, which I didn't request, and haven't refunded me yet.

Adult beginner violin
I have played guitar for about a decade and decided I also want to learn violin. If you arent sure how to string or tune your violin, look for a Youtube video, that helped me.This would be great for a kid who picks the violin for band in addition to adult learners like me. The bow is good quality, and the case is great too.
