EVANESE Women's Plus Size Elegant Long Formal Evening Dress with Shoulder Bands

I pretty much never write reviews but I had to for this dress. This dress is AMAZING!!! I'm going to be in a wedding in the fall. I HATE clothes shopping because nothing ever fits just right for me. Too big in the waist but too small in the chest. Too long in the torso or too short. I'm a 46DD and a 22/24 and only 5'4". I knew I'd need to start the hunt for a dress that met the requirements ("black dress, long, something you can wear a belt with") sooner than later. I looked everywhere for a black formal dress - I hit up all the usual plus size stores and bridal stores, Torrid, Lane Bryant, Dress Barn, David's Bridal, etc. No one had anything that fit all the requirements. Even though I never buy clothes online because of how hard it is to find clothes that fit right, I figured I'd give Amazon a try just to see what was out there. I read the reviews and decided to go ahead and order the 4X. It came super quick from the seller and after I took it out of the box, I just had to try it on right away. It fits in all the right ways - the ruching hides the gut, the v-neck/sweetheart neckline accents the chest, the drape sleeves hide some of the flab on the arms and the shape of the skirt helps to tone down a large behind. The lining is a bit of obnoxious - definitely have to tug on it to make sure it's completely smooth/flat under in both the front and the back because it doesn't seem to be attached to the outer layer of the dress but that's not hard to do. I'll have to have it altered to shorten the skirt - it's definitely too long, but it fits everywhere else. I'm in love with this dress and I can't wait for the wedding just to show it off!

Did not like quality of material. The color and pattern are pretty but material and the way back of dress is made makes it look very cheap.

As it was stated the dress ran small so I went up a size as suggested and the dress fit perfectly. Just a tad long but I had on high heels so it was fine. Received lots of compliments and a friend even ordered her one.

I need to return. I ordered a size 14 but somehow got a 2x. I will be returning the dress.

This dress is as described. So sexy. So pretty. No, beautiful. I love that it is maintenance-free. It doesn't wrinkle and it's not too heavy. I received so many compliments. However, I read all of the comments and one said it fit perfectly, another one said to buy up one size. I had put on a couple of pounds, apparently not as much as I had thought, and I hadn't purchased anything for myself in a while. So, I purchased one size up. That's when I had problems. I did have black undergarments that camouflaged the amount of cleavage that was sure to be pronounced and announced, not having any recourse as there are different shades of black, but it was fine as long as I was in dim lighting. But I didn't have shoes high enough to prevent the draping on the floor. I can't complain, however, because I made a decision to overestimate my size. And I still received compliments. So, my advice is to buy your size. Do not buy up. Maybe I can find a semstress because I really do love the dress. I'm giving it a four-star rating only because it was not the right size for me. Other than that, I would five-star the dress.

Its hard to find gowns at a reasonable price for plus-size. I was excited to find this gown. The price is certainly reasonable for the dress. As I have found with most formal wear, the sizing runs a little small so the first dress was tighter than I like. I was buying for a last minute cruise and the seller worked with me to return and reorder a larger size in a hurry, which I very much appreciated. I totally love this dress in the larger size. The fabric packed and traveled well - no wrinkles and is kinda stretchy and forgiving when worn. The style is original and figure flattering. Plenty long for heels. The dark navy color was very complimentary and a welcome change from black. Could be accessorized in a variety of ways.

Quality was ok I usually wear a 3x but bought a 4x to be sure. It was still too small.

Bought this as a backup dress for a formal wedding and ended up wearing it as my other dress was too tight. This dress is extremely flattering, the ruching helps hide flaws and the neckline is elegant (even with a largish bust). I'm 5'5" and the length was perfect. It just hit the floor so I didn't trip on it. As an added bonus, I had to take my shoes off halfway through the night and no one knew! The material is nice and flowing. You can dress it up even more with a chunky necklace. I'm not a huge fan of navy but this dress look so great on that I didn't care. I would highly recommend this dress.
