NUX | Cerberus Guitar Effect | Guitar Multi FX Pedal,Black

I mainly use individual analogue effects pedals having gone through a variety of multi effects since the 90s. Some were usable some not. I went back to analogue pedals due to a dislike of menus and a lack of physical knobs to set parameters etc., they also sound “real” to me. Digital and modelling units have come a long way and are now considerably better at producing great tones an interfacing seamlessly with computers/recording software. As much as I love the tones from my analogue pedals, I wanted a compact all in one plug and go option for when the notion took me. The Cerberus seemed to fit the bill with physical knobs, no endless menus etc. It is a compact, solid, well made piece of kit - it isn’t as straight forward as I expected however once you have read over the fairly short instructions it’s easy enough to get up and running, however be prepared to take some time to get the most out of it. The overdrive and distortions are analogue, some of the other effects might be as well. Settings are saved digitally to store parameters. It can be connected to a computer, it therefore has mixture of the good aspects of old and new technology that make for a very usable device. Overall I like this pedal, I love you can route effects in different ways using mini toggle switches. Patches can be saved relatively easily - the presets won’t wow you like many multi effects pedals initially do, but they give a good basis for making your own tones. If your amp has an effects loop, the best sounds from this pedal are got by using the four cable method. I also love the foot switchable boost, which is clean, transparent and warms things up nicely - the level knob however is tiny and on the back panel, I leave it on most of the time but it can be used to kick in a solo if you assign it to the control footswitch. I’m not a huge fan of the od/dist tones, but that’s because I like valve overdrive sounds from expensive amps! - they are however very tweakable and you can get some decent and usable tones from them. The unit did needed a period of burning in and some twiddling before sounding it’s best so be patient. In summary a it’s a solid Swiss Army knife, no froth but with lots of clever and useful features that make for a likeable multi effects pedal, it’s not perfect (what is) but it’s certainly worth considering.

The sounds this unit can produce are possibly far more numerous than five or six individual pedals could create. After finally cabling from Cerberus to amp and back into a MacBook Pro I was able to record the sounds I hear in headphones. Creating your own presets is possible but I haven’t got around to that just yet. It’s been out for several years now but it’s still a remarkable piece of kit

This is a quality multi FX pedal, that can be wired up different ways. It comes with a decent tuner, a input for an expression pedal, the ability to patch additional FX between the drive & mod sections, presets & much more. Check out the superb reviews on YT. I was about to build a pedal board but once you’ve bought the board, power supply & cables it’s quite expensive, plus you would need toAdd a switcher to be able to do what the Nux Cerberus does. Would definitely recommend.

The unit arrived on time the FX are very good it is a great unit for going into a clean amp having a Bluesbreaker type pedal and Plexi type pedal plus the mods and delays.

La disto et le drive sont de qualités, les modulations font le travaillent, bonne reverbe, delay atypique je commence à m'habituer et à l'aimer aussi.Par contre je comprends pas qu'il n'y ai pas l'alim 9 volt, mais bon ça n'a pas gâché mon plaisir heureusement.

sounds really good, but it is not easy to use. if you are not into tweaking you might prefer simpler boards.

Premetto che ho strumentazioni di tutto rispetto, Stratocaster Mexico ed USA, testata e combo Marshall e Brunetti e negli anni ho provato pedali di ogni tipo. Beh, questo cerberus è una bomba per il suo rapporto qualità/prezzo/praticità: economico, solido, buona qualità dei suoni, semplicissimo da usare nonostante l'ampia gamma di possibilità che offre. Buon distorsore, ottimo delay, nella media le modulazioni. Veramente valido anche il il simulatore di cassa nella diretta mixer. Lo avevo comprato per le prove e le situazioni "agili" in cui magari non si vuole spostare troppa attrezzatura, ma rischia di diventare il mio setup definitivo così da poter suonare con lo stesso setup a casa, alle prove e nei live.

ライブの場で調整しやすいし、タップテンポの反応が良いので、重宝しています。音質もライブ使用においては、私的には問題ありません。思い切って購入してみましたが、設定の複雑なマルチは苦手なので、良い買い物でした。
