Even better than I hoped!
Whether I'm spending $10 or $100 I like to research a product before I buy it. I like to get the best bang for my buck. I spent a couple of weeks reading reviews and looking at cat trees to find one for my bedroom before I decided on this one. Going into a pet store sent me into sticker shock but gave me a good idea on size. I chose this cat tree based on reviews, looks, and size. I went with the black/brown one to coordinate with my room as I'm planning on putting an artificial tree behind it later. Also I have 2 cats, an 8 lb and a 11 1/2 lb young cat. Some of the reviews said it wasn't sturdy but I took a chance on it anyways. I found all the parts packaged in sealed plastic as well as easy to understand "picture" instructions. I decided to glue every part with gorilla glue based on other reviews. I've had the cat tree a few weeks so far and it's just as good as the day I put it together which took 45 mins. I'm a woman closing in on retirement in a few years and I had no trouble putting this together by myself. It would have been quicker if my 2 cats weren't trying to play on this while I was constructing it! LOL One of the reasons I chose this cat tree was the size of the platforms. My younger cat is 11 1/2 lbs at 10 months. I wanted something that he could fit and play on. He has plenty of room to lay on the platforms and is at this moment sleeping on one. This has turned into one of his favorite places to sleep. Also I wanted one that was tall enough for my cats to reach the top of my desk to give them more "overhead" space. The height is perfect for this. The only thing I will change on the cat tree is the ladders. They came with a faux fur covering that my cats can't get a grip on to climb. Maybe it's because they are declawed but the material is slippery. My cats avoid using it because of this. This will be an easy fix by removing the existing material and hot gluing other material on it. Overall I'm very happy with this as are my cats. It not only looks good in the room, is built good, but more importantly, the cats love it.

Better than I anticipated!
This cat tree is fabulous! It arrived pretty well packaged, and even though the USPS carrier dropped it so hard that we all went running to find out who fell, there was no damage. When I purchased the cat tree I noted that several reviewers said it was challenging to put together, but we didn't have any trouble. My fiance and I put it together in about 30-40 minutes at a leisurely pace and we had absolutely no trouble figuring out which pieces were which. The instructions are sparse but they are perfectly adequate. I recommend at least one quick read-through before you get started. I did notice that while the measurements are accurate, the drawings are a bit off - for example, it depicts the base piece as being a distinct rectangle even as it notes that the dimensions of the sides are only two inches off of each other. Despite that, we were still able to figure it all out with no trouble. It came with a small allen wrench/screwdriver combo piece which was just what was needed to put it together. The cats started having a blast the moment we unpacked the box. Both cats went bananas over the the fluffy dangling toy and that's the big draw that had them climbing all over it as soon as we had it set up. Another reviewer noted that the bottom ramp wasn't necessary, but I do like the way it looks and it doesn't add much to the total footprint. The midway ramp does seem to add a bit of stability to the structure. Speaking of which... It's REALLY stable. I was really surprised to find that the pieces seem to be heavy and good quality, not cardboard-like. The whole thing has a pretty good weight to it and the center of gravity is perfect. The spot we selected has it pushed up against a wall as well, and with that included it is absolutely rock solid. As noted, the taller of the two little houses is a bit smaller than I would have thought but both of my average sized cats fit inside - just not stretched out or together. The color is really nice, too. Very neutral but warm, not like old apartment carpet. The carpet material, by the way, is RIDICULOUSLY soft. We pet the pieces as we put them together. They are SO SOFT! I have no idea what material it is but it certainly isn't standard carpet. The cats love it, too, and keep rolling around on it. Overall I am totally satisfied with this cat tree! We are moving in a few months so we will need to take it apart, repackage it, and set it back up again - I will report back if anything of note occurs, but I fully expect this thing to last a few good years.

All four of my cats approve!
Putting this together was quite simple. The only challenge was keeping my cats off it until it was fully assembled! The pieces with the "steps" don't seem to stay in place very well because there is one metal piece holding it in place, creating a swivel point for it. One on each side would be a better design. I don't like that after one year, the rope on one of the pieces came completely off. I mean, I get it. That's the one my cats claw on most, but none of my other perches have this problem, and they use all of them. I'm not sure why this one fell apart faster. Still, I'm very happy with it. There is room for all of my kitties to be on it at the same time, even if they're not wanting to be near the others. The little cubbies are great for that. They all like the toy that dangles from one of the shelves, too. Frankly, i'm surprised that after two years of intense use it's still there! Before my little Shih Tzu passed, he enjoyed sitting on the base of it so he could be with his kitty friends. This is one of my best purchases ever. I'd definitely buy another and would recommend it to anyone. Great value for the money in spite of the rope coming off one of the pieces so soon. I suppose I can get more rope and figure out how to attach it so it will stay longer.

Great product, poor customer service
I wish I could give this product five stars but the customer service lost me. The quality of this cat tree is excellent for the price and my cats absolutely love it. The elevated cat beds have hard sides, which is what I was looking for because my cats like to lean. The whole tower is nice and tall and fairly simple to put together with the instructions. My only issue is that when it arrived, the ladders had cracks running through them down the middle, but nothing else was damaged at all so clearly it did not happen during shipping. I contacted Go Pet Club directly to let them know about the faulty pieces and their suggestion was for me to pay for shipping for new ladders, even though they were the ones who sent out faulty equipment. My cats like to jump up so they don’t really use the ladders, and I’m not getting new ones. If your cats don’t jump very well, that would be something to consider. Other than the mismanagement of customer service, I do like this cat tree a lot and my cats love it!

Pretty "Cat"tastic!.....I'm sorry...
We absolutely love it! First of all, we have Amazon Prime so it came right away. Second, the beautiful, lush, faux fur feeling, black material looks and feels amazing. Third, but most important, my cat Kaner (named after #88 Patrick Kane) loves it! Full disclosure: I did sprinkle catnip all over to help entice him onto the tower/tree/condo/whatever, which sped up the curiosity and exploration process. Okay, onto the in's and outs of this bad boy: 1. Looks absolutely gorgeous! We bought the black one because our living room is red and plus black pretty much goes with just about any color. 2. What surprised me (positively) is the way the material feels. If my wife wouldn't leave me for it and my cat wouldn't claw at anything dangling - I'd be climbing all over this thing, butt-naked, myself! It's so unbelievably soft and like I said it feels like a faux fur coat; like mink or something. I'd assumed it was going to be like carpet or rug material. That being said, Kaner has no problem climbing all over it, he's like Spider-Man on there. 3. It was extremely easy to assemble. Me being the manly-man that I am, busted out the toolbox and random drill bits expecting to tangle toe to toe with this beast for a few hours. Nay, the hardware included a little allen wrench/philips screwdriver to handle all my fastening needs. In the box was a single sheet of paper with clear and concise directions explaining how to assemble this, like I was a 4 year old (that's not an insult and very, very much appreciated). It took me about an hour to put it together and would have been even quicker if Kaner hadn't been jumping on every level I attached. 4. Kaner the cat, is in love with his new place. I bought this thing to put on the screened porch in the summer and bring it back in for winter. While the package does feel a little heavy, it is much easier to move around once assembled so you can change the look of your house, Feng Shui it up or just move it around to find that perfect spot. However, when picking it up, try not to go towards the cat with it. I made that mistake moving it from living room to porch; trapping him in the narrow hallway and it scared the crap out of him (metaphorically). The condo/tower/tree/whatever looked as if it had just got up on its own and started coming for the cat. Hence, the catnip. Once my little junkie cat got a whiff of the good stuff he started to explore level by level. Within 20 minutes he was totally high (both figuratively and literally) on the top shelves trying to murder the minute mini mouse. To sum up: if you're on the fence about buying; just do it. Your cat will thank you as well as your wallet and temper. If you DON'T have a cat/significant other and DO have a windowless room: buy it and climb naked. I'll try and remember to update later as to the endurance of the new cat home, see if it can handle the mighty claws and jaw of Kaner (he was biting the scratching posts for some reason) but it seems really sturdy and feels well made. Oh, the minor, minor negative (so minor I wasn't even going to mention it, but some people...right?) was little fuzzy black things flying around the box and during assembly but the vacuum took care of that. Pros: Cat loves it Beautiful to look at Pleasurable to touch Easy assembly Quality parts Cons: Little fuzzies My cat's an addict

Awesome, we're very happy campers!
Love this, came unharmed packaged well, as described and all pieces were there and went together great, kind of heavy but not unmoveable, I hand tightened everything and once most of it was together I went and retightened, mine came with predrilled screw holes with extra nut support in the holes so that the screws stayed in place, I couldn't imagine how it would of stayed in well with out that feature...thank you Go Pet! The material is a cream color and seems to be made of mid\ high grade fleece, soft but not cushion-y. However most cats don't seem to like overly stuffed bedding. My little guy loves it, when he stretched out to scratch the post he stopped to look at me as if to ask if it was OK...lol hence getting told no when it came to my furniture. If your cat seems uncomfortable this will be a great investment, it is very well made and a very reasonable price. I vacuumed with a handheld attachment with a brush and gave the tree a once over to rid any loose fibers and it fluffed up nicely. This is particle board and has a slight glue like Wood or Elmer's glue smell, not like gaging chemicals, thank the lord, if I need another one in the future, which I can't see why because this is made soooo well, I would buy this again in a heart beat! Highly recommend this cat tree, just take care on the bottom ladder when moving, I would unscrew it until after it gets moved then rescrew it, don't use power tools, the torque may be too much screw by hand so that way you can dismantle if needed, it is pretty sturdy on my end at least. Thanks go pet! If I were to change anything I would make the edges tips rounded, I bumped in to them a few times and stepped on the ladder.....the corners hurt! But it was worth the pain to see my little guy have a safe spot all of his own! June 20 2016 Update!!!! Well my cat got fat and I think he weighs over 14 lbs and is just generally large, Main Coon mix.....I think because he's a behemoth of cat😹 anyways the top towers finally gave out and one did fall and cat fell too, I don't think he had any major injuries but I'm sure he got bruised however I was distraught that my little baby could have been seriously injured, so I took the beds that sat on top of the towers off, left the tubes so he could scratch and put one bed on top of upper cubby room, he seems to be happy with that, here is a tip.....if you feel or see something protruding from the bottom of the tube through the fabric you can be certain that it's a staple and it is about to break or if it wobbles as the cat jumps into it, do not wait, remove the bed asap! The tube separated from the plastic end that screwed the bolt in, so the bolt was still in.....still connected. There are simple modifications you can make like I did to make it safe and still enjoyable. I still recommend it but with any thing pet related you have to regularly inspect the condition for wear and tear. And one more tip.....put your cat toys in a lidded plastic container when not being supervised, leaving your cat unattended with toys can pose choking hazards, my cat once swallowed 10 inches of string and I was able to pull it out of his stomach slowly and the string was only attached by a splinted thread because he had chewed it. I will never make that mistake again.

It arrived in a large box, but was easy to assemble
Our cat tree arrived in a large box, and was a bit heavy to carry to it's assembly location. Other than that it was easy to unbox, and assembly wasn't very difficult. Cats are 2 Siamese and 2 Norwegian Forest, our largest cat barely fit into the small cat house, but he tried them all out. The mouse has held up for 24 hours, but long term, it's a goner. The cats like it too much, it'll be loved to death. Instructions aren't great, but not bad. No words, just pictures, but overall it is easy to understand. For those who have worked with Ikea stuff, this is easier to assemble than most Ikea pieces, but the instructions aren't as good. Since the concept is easy, and parts are mostly small screws or large felt covered pieces there wasn't a need for good instructions, though better instructions could help others less mechanically inclined. Quality was overall decent. For the most part, it's some wood-like or wood-similar material covered by very cheap carpet like material with some rope around the cylinders which are spacers that double as scratching posts. How long this will endure is unknown, the material inside the carpet like stuff is unknown to me. Stability is good, all things considered. One or two heavy cats dancing about or leaping on or off haven't caused it to fall. Overall my two concerns about this cat tree follow: 1) The stairs seemed pointless, maybe they could be an aesthetic plus for humans, but weren't installed. A cat too weak to climb this, is likely going to die on falling. Most of our cats can jump up to the top or near the top from it's base. The stairs don't add any structural support and at least one of them takes valuable room from the tree. 2) There are some double threaded screws (screws where each end is a thread without any head). These are used to attach threaded cylinders to each other through a landing. My concern is these screws can go through the cylinder and get stuck inside (they are narrower than the thread at the middle, and can fall into the cylinder). This can be avoided by appropriate assembly, but for a novice, it would have made sense for the double threaded screws to have a flat area larger than the thread to prevent falling into the cylinders. Other than the above, and with only 24 hours into our use of the tree, it seems very nice and has been accepted by all the cats. Some catnip helped spur interest. Cost for value seems reasonable. If this lasts 6 months or longer, it will have been a decent purchase for my family.

Very Sturdy and Well Made-No Wobbles!!
I looked at a TON of cat towers before picking this one. I wanted something tall but easily scalable for a 15 year old kitty. I wanted it not to be wobbly as she jumps from tier to tier because that's the issue that I've had with other cat towers in the past. I also needed something that didn't have much on the bottom level because we just got a pug puppy and need her to leave the cat alone as they adjust to each other. This has exceeded all my expectations. It was super easy for one person to put together (I'm short so I needed a step ladder to attach the top pieces). Most importantly, it's STURDY. I was sort of expecting the pieces to be made out of cheap, flimsy, thin particle board wood like everything else on here but it's really thick, durable plywood that wont break apart. It doesn't wobble at all until my cat gets to the highest platform, and even then it's so subtle that she doesn't seem to notice. The only slight issue I have with it is that the bottom ladder piece doesn't adhere very well (I think I maybe bent the bracket a little bit when putting it together). It's not an issue for me as the lower tiers are low enough for our cat to jump onto. We also put her lounging chair beside it to help her get to the 1st level, but she really doesn't need it. I've had the tower for about a week and our cat LOVES it. She usually takes forever to warm up to new toys/beds/mats/etc but I've caught her napping in both of the enclosed areas multiple times a day. She also sleeps in it at night. I highly recommend this cat tower. We are thinking about getting another one to replace the old (smaller, wobbly) one we have in the living room.

BEST TREE FOR PRICE
Best Cat Tree for the price! Freaking unbelievable! I'm about 5'10'' and this thing is taller than me! My kittens were getting older and bigger and they were starting to climb and bounce off everything when I realized that their little 3 level scratching post wasn't going to suffice any more. I was looking high and low and was surprised to see such a large cat tree at such an affordable price! There must be something wrong with it... Actually there's nothing wrong with it. I mean it does wobble a little when the cats are at the very top of chasing each other, but I'm not concerned of it falling over. If you are, and I might be if the cats stay as energetic as they get older, I'll just put a weight at the bottom. Mine is on carpet though in a corner of the room against the wall so that gives it a lot of stability. Not to say, but I doubt you'd have this in the centre of a room, unless your cats have a dedicated play room. Easy to assemble, took me about an hour, but that's because I vacuumed each piece before putting it together. The fluff/faux fur that it's covered in does come off as the cats play, but vacuums up pretty easily. The scratching posts themselves have been holding up quite well, and when the ones at the bottom get really ratty, I plan on just switching them out with the ones from the top before ordering replacements. The hanging mouse/weasel thing didn't last more than an hour, but I just replaced it with a sturdier string and the cats love it. They sleep on the top platforms, and sometimes in the houses. The second little ramp twisted around, but I just secured it with another bracket I had laying around. The cats love it and I use it for exercising them by running a lazer up the wall towards the top and they climb the tree after it. Bounding, jumping, chasing the lazer or each other. Definitely a good buy, and I'd definitely buy this item again!

Perfecto

Highly recommend, especially for multi-cat households
I've had this cat tree for over a year now. For it's price you can't really go wrong. It's a little wobbly but has survived being used by eight cats that, although are on the smaller size (6-9lbs), they race up and down it no problem. We also have three three-legged cats, and find this is a good cat tree for them with the stairs and smaller height differences between the levels. Our cats use this tree daily and love to nap in the high perches throughout the day. They don't often use the square house-like hide-aways. They often playfully battle for the highest perch. Initial set up was quick, and although the picture instructions weren't the greatest it was fairly easy to figure out and put together. As others have mentioned the faux fur fabric does shed initially, but I have found that after a few months, the shedding stopped. It's fairly easy to collect cat hair off of, so easier to keep clean compared to carpeted trees. Originally we were going to get the n Go Pet Club F2040-72-Inch Cat Tree, Blue which is the same except slightly larger, however decided that the shelf sizes were still spacious enough (12.75" square vs 13.5"). The cats have no problems fitting onto these top perch shelves.
