Spectracide Bag-A-Bug Japanese Beetle Trap (Pack of 3)

Every summer, these pests invade our garden and decimate our plum tree. Well, we hung up three of these bad boys, and YES they work!!! Literally, the whole bag was filled in one day!The bags have a light citronella smell. Easy to hang up. We ordered several replacement bags because these work...and quickly.Super easy to hang. Find a few places away from your beloved tree/bush. Hang bag -- the beetles will find it. Then, just throw away the bag (ideally in a plastic grocery bag) when full.

These things are incredible. They really trap the Japanese beetles. Side note, place these well away from your garden to plants you are wanting to protect.

Japanese beetles are terrible in July in Colorado and like to destroy my rosebushes. These beetle bags are very easy to install and use, it comes with simple instructions, putting the plastic together and inserting the bait and attaching the bag. It takes less than a minute to put together and within moments beetles swarm to the bag! The bag is large and can hold a lot of Beatles. The kit comes with extra bags, which makes it easy to clean, simply throw away the full bag and reattach a new bag. The bags are high-quality and do not rip or break even when very full. I attached mine to a garden stake to increase the stability of the bag to ensure the I didn’t fall down in all sorts of summer weather. Highly recommend in your garden!

Have been using these every year for the last 5 or so years and every year the Japanese beetle population has shown a noticeable decline from the year before. This year there was very few in spite of it being a year where the populations of most everything else exploded. When used as directed these can be quite effective and with no concerns about exposing yourself, family or pets to any toxic chemicals.

Not quite sure how they work yet but they are big bags. You get 2 bags in one box. I wanted to order the ready made spray for the Japanese beetles but they wouldn’t deliver to my address in California. Not sure why but that’s what I really wanted because it kills on contact. I’d have to say order at your own risk. Hope this helps someone.

We are in our third year of using these now and they have decimated the local Japanese beetle population with each crop of beetles significantly reduced from that of the prior year. We use 4 to cover a 0.6 Acre lot. I don't see these eliminating the beetles completely, they'll keep migrating in from neighbors who don't use them, but there have made a massive difference for the health an dyields of a our fruit trees.
