Is it really silk? Some reviews say NO.

I have 4 of these pillowcases that I ordered in the past that WERE silk. I just ordered two more, and they are NOT silk. They look and feel like polyester. I cut a piece from the inside to do a burn test, and it went up in flames, burning all the way down to a hard plasticky nub. Real silk stops burning when removed from flame, and the burned parts are easily crumbled into a powder.

Is this pillowcase healthy for African American hair?

Absolutely!!! I am African American. I have purchased another Ravmix pillowcase because the first one is sooooo comfortable, excellent for the hair and not only that, excellent for your skin. Please purchase this product; you will be so glad that you did. Hope this answered your question.

The box contained a detailed instruction how to verify silk genuineness and no sample of the fabric. what i supposed to do, to burn my new pillowcase?

I also received no sample, yet a very detailed, full color, glossy insert with instructions on testing the silk. It says to burn the material or use chlorine to confirm it is 100% real silk. I tried the QR code and it’s not readable.

Does this pillowcase have silk on both sides of it?

Yes it has silk on both sides.... also I've had good luck laundering it.
