Day It Rained Hearts: A Story About Friendship, Individuality, and Valentine’s Day

This was an adorable book and worked very well with my first grade read aloud for Valentine’s Day.

Great story that combines all three tough subjects.

Very cute story, especially for Valentine's Day. It has a nice message about making just the right Valentine for each of her friends. My grandaughter (4) loved the idea of it raining hearts!

This is a great book! I used it for Valentine’s Day this school year, my students loved it!

I got this for my son when he was three and he liked it so much it insipred him to make hearts and crafts every year for his friends and he's six now. I think the ending is great because it suggests she finds new and different ways to show her friends appreciation each year. I also like it cause it's sensitive and promotes giving during Valentine's not just getting.

Simple vocabulary and a short story through great pictures to help very little ones to understand about Valentine's Day. It invites to creativity and handmade gifts for people.

The story is simple for small children. I bought it to use for Valentine's Day and it will do the job well.

This was a great book to share on Valentine's Day with the nursery school class. We did the craft of raining hearts using red heart stickers.
