It’s about 5 inches I believe. I never measure d but they are great gonna order more :)

Why would you want to wash a broom. A broom's purpose is to sweep dirty things. If you must wash it, hang it out in the rain or run it under water. It's a broom.

I don't know. I have no use for only the broom; I use both the broom and dustpan to clean up the fireplace hearth.
