It is what it is, 1080p, 600 lumen projector. Looks great. It's frustrating as hell to set up since the remote has to be pointed right at the projector. Even then it's incredibly finicky and barely responds. If you're trying to set this up through home automation by plugging it into a WiFi outlet, you will be disappointed. Instead of turning off it will switch to battery mode. I guess for some people that's a feature. We have yet to find a way to disable that, but I'll update this if I can figure it out.

Airplay doesn't work. Not compatible with Netflix or PrimeVideo. If you connect with HDMI, you have to plug in your speakers, bluetooth won't work.

Its a neat little device with some interesting design choices, no doubt necessitated by size. The good: Native 1080p display, surprisingly usable Android interface, though it seems to lack a formal play store. Its got its own app store with Netflix, Amazon, etc. You can still side load apps and it has quite a few apps relevant to its functions as an entertainment device. The processor isn't the fastest, but adequate and plays video quite well without lag or drop in framerate. Its not a multi-tasking superstar, but you probably won't be running multiple apps on a projector. The bad: Its noisy. The small form factor means heat is a factor. The device gets somewhat warm to the touch and the tiny, noisy on board fans means you should invest in a good external bluetooth speaker. The on-board speaker is terrible period. With a good speaker its awesome. The ugly: The remote. Tiny IR receiver behind the box means you have to be seated *behind* the projector to use the remote. Its usable, but I wound up using a wireless 2.4g keyboard to use the projector effectively. Overall. Good at what it does. Image quality is quite good, brightness is more than adequate and I would argue beyond reproach when plugged in. Batteyr life is fine. I was able to view an entire move on battery, the life is as advertised. The unit is a bit noisy, but if you pick it up on sale, I would argue the compromises are quite acceptable given its tiny footprint and usefulness of the Android OS that comes pre-loaded.

Das Konzept an sich ist spitze, warum er aber leider zurückgeht: 1. Die Airplay-Verbindung funktioniert nicht vernünftig. Videos werden nicht wiedergegeben 2. WLAN Passwort-Eingabe ist alles andere als intuitiv. Das hätte man "einfacher" bzw. bedienerfreundlicher lösen können. 3. Helligkeit, okay ist nur mit 600 Lumen angegeben 4. Farbe, aufgrund der geringen Helligkeit leidet wohl auch die Farbdarstellung. Fotos sehen etwas mau aus. 5. Die Fernbedienung reagiert oft nicht, dafür dann aber manchmal doppelt. 6. Betriebsgeräusch: Der Projektor ist sehr laut 7. Trapezkorrektur nicht automatisch Schade, das Teil hätte perfekt für den mobilen Einsatz und für Vorträge gepasst. Sowohl AirPlay als auch Android casten wäre super gewesen. Auch der Akku ist ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Aber vom Bild, mit dem in etwa gleich teuren LG PF 1500G, kann der Vivitek Q38 einfach nicht mithalten. Einige Punkte für sich allein wären in meinen Augen auch noch hinnehmbar gewesen, aber in Summe ist es mir dann doch zuviel, das nicht passt. 2 Sterne, weil das Konzept an sich gut ist.

600 ansi lumen non cambiano la vita ma la risoluzione è comunque molto buona. Il sistema operativo personalizzato di vivitek è pressochè inutile, appena trovo il modo si va di custom rom. La ventola è molto rumorosa, solo con le cuffie si può liberarsene. A parità di prezzo, se la portabilità è un dettaglio trascurabile, si può trovare di molto meglio.

Positiv: - in Relation zur Größe ausreichend helles Bild (auch am Tag erkennbar, jedoch abhängig von Abstand zur Projektionsfläche) - gut funktionierende automatische Keystone Korrektur. - Stativ Anschluss (auch mit kleinem Stativ ausreichende Standfestigkeit wegen geringem Gewicht) - umfangreiche Einstellungsmöglichkeit der Projektionsrichtung Negativ: - lauter Lüfter - langsames Android - schlecht reagierende Fernbedienung - Anschlüsse an der Rückseite (Bei Wand naher Aufstellung problematisch, abhängig vom Aufstellungsort) - schlechter interner Lautsprecher; unbenutzbar - Schärfe Verschiebung: wenn der mittlere Bereich scharf gestellt ist so ist der Randbereich unscharf und umgekehrt. - schlechte Einstellbarkeit der Schärfe mittels der Fernbedienung oder am Gerät Der Projektor geht aufgrund der negativen Aspekte zurück. Ich hoffe jedoch, dass es sich bei meinem Exemplar nur um ein Montags Gerät gehandelt hat.
