Conté à Paris Sketching & Drawing Pencils, Set of 6, Sanguine Assorted

I absolutely love these! They allowed for a sharper picture and the colors were great.

I purchased these at the recommendation of my sketch teacher. The colors are sharp, the pencils are durable. I find them high quality.

My only issue is sharpening these pencils

I’ve had the strathmore Tan paper for a while. The pencil Conte Crayon in a pencil allowed me to transition to Conte or charcoal more naturally. The Contes are smooth and hold up under an electric sharpener. They blend beautifully with Tissue, nubs and paint brushes! I’m a huge fan and will continue to use these!

Vengo usando los lápices Conté à Paris desde hace mucho tiempo para hacer los bocetos de pintura al óleo. Marcan lo suficiente el lienzo para que quede la impresión del dibujo y se eliminan diluyéndose tras pasar el pincel con el óleo. Mejor que usar carboncillo o grafito, pues estos dejan sucio el lienzo o no se eliminan, como en el caso del grafito. Recomiendo su adquisición a los que sean aficionados a la pintura, pues además se hacen con las diferentes tonalidades unas figuras en las que se denotan los volúmenes y las sombras. Excelente material y muy buena relación calidad / precio del paquete de seis lápices en sus diferentes tonalidades.

The set arrived in a cardboard sleeve, contained in a blister pack. There was no damage to the pencils and, so far, I have had no issues when sharpening the pencils. This is a nice set of colours/tones, based around a sanguine colour, and includes black and white. The pencils layed down as expected but the black and white pencils are noticeably smoother. Once put down there can be a little smudging and water can be used to loosen the pigment to create light tones. The white pencil is also useful as a blender for the other colours, if that's your style. A good set, particularly for figure drawing or for animal sketches. Looks very good on tinted paper and is very effective on a textured surface to give a 'dry brush' type effect.
