Everyone else is right. Once you start, you get carried away laminating things just because it's fun. I actually bought this for use with a roll of 1.5 Mil thickness laminating film in order to produce book covers. (1.5 Mil pouches don't seem to exist.) If you're looking to do something similar with this, the good news is, it works! Some notes on that: - It takes some practice to get the hang of how to feed in documents without getting them to wrinkle. - If you want one-sided lamination, you get better results when you actually laminate two pages back-to-back at the same time. - Pay attention when your page is about to finish! If your laminator seems to be sucking your page back in after it's done, you must turn it off and yank your page out. Otherwise, you get to dismantle the laminator and slowly cut your page off of where it fused to the roller. I realize that this is an off-label usage for this lamination machine, so I'm not complaining about the fact that it takes a little finagling. I'm impressed that you can eventually get it to work and produce a perfect result. I also did a couple of pictures with the provided pouches for fun. Those all turned out perfectly with minimal effort.

Lamination isn't something I do often, but I had a project that required me to laminate 25 pages. Calling the copy shops around town, it was going to run between $1.50-2.50 per page to have them do the lamination. I was able to purchase this laminator and an extra set of 100 sleeves for less than it would have cost to have them laminated at a copy shop. The laminator worked great. It takes a little time to warm up, but is a little powerhouse once it's warm. The pages move through the laminator slowly, so it's good to have something else to do while you're waiting. I laminated 6 pages in the first sitting and 19 in the second. The machine worked consistently through both runs. I was also pleased with the machine's size - it was much smaller than I'd expected, which I appreciated from a storage perspective. I was worried that it would heat the worktable below it, but that wasn't a problem. However, I wouldn't want to leave it unattended because when it finishes with a page, the final edge doesn't always completely clear the machine. The page is out of the heating element, but the edge is still slightly inside the machine. When I pulled it out of the machine, the edge of the page felt warm, not hot, so it's probably safe, but... All in all, I am extremely pleased with this laminator, especially for the price. I have a feeling I'll find quite a few more projects that require its use.

This is a good laminator but I took a star away because the latch it gave to help release a jam did not work. I ended up taking the 4 back screws off and then got my jam out and then put it back together. It is not perfect but I got it to work for a job I needed that day! One real good thing - it came with laminate sheets of 2 sizes - small and regular 8.5 by 11. That was very helpful for my job and those did not jam. The jam was my fault - being too cheap to use a large sheet, I used a remnant - bad mistake.

I have had this laminator since 2018. I use it at home as needed -- not too frequently, but over 100 times -- enough to need a refill on the 100 page laminating pouch supply I had. It still works great. I am a teacher and about to order the larger version for my classroom.

I have only used it once, but it worked great. Very easy to use. The results were great too. I will enjoy having this convenience in my home. It will also save money. Laminating has gotten very expensive.
