This is in fact good quality tinned copper wire with good insulation and a nice wire twist. The small wire strands make it very flexible. It is NOT aluminum as some have reported. I checked the resistance for 32 feet of wire as 0.66 ohms. This checks out as correct for 23AWG copper wire. The listing notes the wire is 22 gauge but does not state who's gauge standard is being used. China does NOT use AWG it uses CWG a metric wire size standard. Sorry to all American concentric people out there but AWG is a old standard and a lot of the world has moved on to metric. In my experience of you specify a AWG size from a china vendor they will round DOWN to the nearest standard china wire gauge size. The result is you normally get wire that is about 1 gauge smaller in size than the specified AWG size. So getting wire with a DCR of about a AWG23 wire from china being called 22AWG is normal. It's the closest rounded down in size standard china wire.

Excellent wire for RC servo and like applications. The wire is fine multi-strand tinned copper wire. I note that some reviewers have stated that the wire is made of aluminium, not copper - this is NOT correct. If you remove the insulation, fan the wire out and scrape it with a scalpel, or #11 blade, you will remove the tinned coating and see the copper colour wire under the tinned coating. I also put the wire in a flame and it tinted the flame green - a clear indication that it's cooper. Tinned copper wire is an equally good conductor and provides robust protection against corrosion and oxidation of the copper core.
