So far so good
I haven't installed this 700W inverter yet in my camper, but I did set it up on the bench and ran it from a 60AH LiFePo battery pack, driving a 550W load. It worked fine. No-load current with a 13.3V battery is only 410 mA (a good number for this class of inverter), or 417 mA if the remote switch is plugged in -- apparently the power-on LED in the remote switch draws the extra 7 mA. The unit seems very well made. Output is 122V rms with no load, dropping to 117V rms under load. When driving a 60W incandescent light bulb, the overall inverter efficiency is about 80%, which I think is pretty good; efficiency will be higher with a heavier load, but my meter maxes out at 10A so I couldn't measure it. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Works like a charm!
Update: I originally left a 1 star, not for the device, but more for the resale, I thought this second one was faulty, turns out one of my bus bars was faulty, this was TOTALLY MY FAULT (maybe the bus bar as well). Renogy got back with me even though this was a resale and informed me it’s not under warranty but still offered tips on what to do. I’m happy that this worked out because I really like this Renogy company and eco system. Looking forward to upgrades, future builds and all. I left the original review for context below I would say this is more of an Amazon resale review as this is the second unit I bought from resale that is DOA. This first one never worked, figured was just a bad unit, 2nd one sparked so hard it left a groove in my bat terminal and now won’t accept a charge from my charge controller. I don’t know what the process is on testing these with Amazon resale but they definitely were bad. I don’t know how Renogy would let you all re-sell bad units, looks bad on them

Missing key pre-capacitor charging-hookup in Manual
Great product once I figured out why it would register a failure when connecting it to LiFEPO4 battery, BMS in battery. Called customer service and Peter figured it out the problem. Then he recommended a solution. PRE-CHARGING the capacitors with a resistor during negative wire hookup. Thank you Peter! This needs to be placed in the manual.

Great for basic power for small draws.
Worked well and powered smaller things like lights and fans but ultimately upgraded to more powerful inverter.

Does everything it's designed to do!
I use this as part of my little solar power system to power my living room. It's not enough to power my entire house, but it powers the lights, TV, DVD player and stereo in my living room just fine with power to spare. It's quiet, reliable, and easy to use. It can also power the electronics in my gas furnace during a winter power outage. Overall, I am very pleased with this inverter, and I definitely recommend it!

Various errors right from the start
It sure looked good, and the reviews seemed good. But as soon as I tried powering the unit up it did the initial beep and turned on for a few seconds and then immediately went in to one of a couple different error modes, one with steady beep and error light on, then later repeating beep. Ran 6 ft lengths of 6 gauge fine stranded wire direct to battery with good thick lugs all crimped down tight. Ran 10 gauge for ground line (this was recommended in the manual, though the ground lug provided on the unit is bizzarely small) Checked voltage all along the lines, from battery terminals all the way to the lugs on the back of the unit 13.8 volts so no under or over volt. Very small ~60 watt load plugged in to the unit for testing. Observed voltage reading for battery with unit off and then when flipped on, no voltage sag (newer battery, wouldn't expect it but thought I'd try) Unplugged multiple times to reset, this just seemed to rotate me through various fail beeps on restart. Going to pony up some extra bucks for a Victron, it is not fun to crawl around playing troubleshoot the issue inside travel trailer, I want something solid and be done with it.

El mejor inversor que he tenido. Calidad excepcional.
Tengo unos cinco o seis años experimentando con energía solar. He tenido inversores de otras marcas. :-(

Great brand, great quality
Of course you will pay for the brand and the quality, but their customer service is on point, and the product is very good quality. Bought in 2021, used 3 years (before selling my van). Never let me down, and used it pretty much all year long ! Good in association with other renogy products (such as solar panels). Good to charge 2 phones and a camera at the same time without issue. Would recommend ! XxX - Pete - XxX

Wish I could have kept it!
I bought this for our little sailboat, intending to use it with our house batteries to power the audio for a wedding ceremony on a remote island. However, when I actually had it in my hands, I realized that I didn't have a space to install it in! :-o I like Renogy gear, & I really liked that little inverter, - but I sent it back. It was still in pristine condition, but I will add that the return went very smoothly. I just wish I could have kept it!
