The 101 Dalmatians

I wanted to get this book as a Valentine’s Day gift for my baby cousin Bella. I enjoyed sound books when I was a child ranging from infant through 10 years old. The book was delivered with great care, and the driver did an outstanding job. Even though the book was used, it’s still works great

When you realize how much was changed, you will be shocked! There are some truly touching moments and far more adventure... A must read!

The kids enjoyed the story, rooting for the pups the whole way.A fun read with lots of discussion points.

Such a cute story about the doggies we love, who apparently own us.Also, the story is so damn English that my glass of Diet Coke spontaneously changed to a porcelain cup of tea (with milk) while I was reading it.

THIS WAS MY FAVORITE BOOK WHEN I WAS A KID.

This is one of those books I found as a child AFTER seeing the Disney movie and reading that it was based on a book. As usual, the book is so much better! If you've never read this book, but you're fond of the movie, or of dogs, you will love it. The story is truly heart-warming, and I love that certain scenes are oh-so familiar if you've seen the movie, but so much of the story is completely new! Did you know Perdita is NOT the name of the "leading lady"? That's all I'll say about the actual story, but please, read it for yourself, even if you don't have kids. It's a wonderful read-aloud book, too--the first time my husband ever heard about this book was when I made him lie down and let me read it to him. We didn't have a child then, so now we get to share it with our son, too. Truly, a wonderful book. However, just so you know--the second book is not nearly so good! I own both of them, but I probably won't read the second one more than one more time, when I read it to my son. It's just not at all the same thing--aliens in London? Anyway, read 101 Dalmations and I know you'll enjoy it!

I grew up hearing this book on tape. Now I’m reading it to my daughters and find it just as charming as when I was a child.

Awful purchase. Ripped pages. Missing pages. Scribbled pen marks on pages. So disappointed took a month to receive this book that Was not worth even a penny.

Love this story and this author.

When I was a little girl, a previous edition of this book was my favourite book in the whole world. I still have it; it has been read to death, the spine is creased and some of the pages are loose, but I still love it!My granddaughter is just 7 years old, and a proficient reader. I bought this new edition of the book for her to read, in the hope that she will love it as much as I do.I have recently stopped reading 'real' books, and fully rely on my Kindle, as the print is too small in most books for my ageing eyes, but the print in this book is a great size. The only disadvantage to this is that the book is extremely thick as larger print = more pages. Also, the paper itself is really thick; almost like blotting paper or thick newspaper, so the book appears to be very cheaply made.Having said all that, this appears to be the only edition of the book available to buy at the moment, and I was just glad to find one to buy, as I've been looking for a while!Hope my granddaughter loves it like I do ;)

E' un enorme piacere poter leggere nella versione originale la storia dei 101 dalmata vista solo al cinema.

Hadn't read this since I was a child. A great read about these lovely dogs. Interest to think about it from a dog's perspective

Le film était un vrai bon souvenir d'enfance, vu à sa sortie. Mais la découverte à l'âge adulte du texte original est une très heureuse surprise. Maintenant que je connais bien les chiens, ce livre prouve une vraie connaissance des races et des façons de faire des chiens. Un bon vrai texte en anglais qui permet de faire un peu de vocabulaire au travers d'une histoire écrite comme un mini thriller... Je recommande chaudement dans cette version originale.
