Continental ElectricCE-TO101 Toaster Oven, 4 Slice, White

Replaced a small white Toastmaster I had for 10 years. This is the perfect size. It's simple to use, & so far performs all the functions well. Just be watchful of toast. Begin with the light setting & see how you like it. The only thing different from the Toastmaster is that the rack doesn't pull out automatically when you open the door. I'm getting used to that. I just pull it out with small heat proof kitchen tongs.

This toaster oven looks nice. But, I've been using it for about a month and still can't figure out how to toast.The slices are very close to the heating units. There is no way of adjusting. The shelf can be either very close to the top heating unit, or very close to the bottom one. My previous toaster oven was a little larger and there was more space between the heating elements. Setting the dial on "Light" makes my toast darker than I like. So I have to stand in front of the toaster oven and watch until the toast is okay, and it still is not toasted even; it's light in spots and darker and sometimes slightly burned in other spots.

The size was why I bought this oven. It will not use a large amount of electricity to heat a large oven. Sits perfectly on my counter between refrigerator and cooktop. White is better for small kitchens why I have white everything. A must have for frozen delights in no time crisps. No problems after 10 months. Happy with purchase

Three stars overall because the oven is nice looking.One star because the oven will overcook so watch closely near the end of cycle.Light toast will burn so the oven needs to be turned off before full cycle.A lot of heat comes out the front and makes the counter top very warm.Use a pot holder or utensil to open the door because the handle gets very hot.I’m also not a fan of the rack positioning.I wanted white and there aren’t many options so I need to work with these issues.

Does not work corrext. Burns toast black on light toast setting. You have to watch it every second. I should return it!

This toaster oven appealed to me because it is attractive and came in white to match my kitchen. But I was disappointed to find that its interior is too small to accommodate a small Pyrex loaf pan much less 4 slices of bread as described. I was also disappointed to find that the crumb tray is not completely removable. The oven has to be turned onto its backside to unlatch the tray, which remains hinged on one side. More importantly was finding the electrical cord too short to reach the only outlet I have for placing the oven on the small counter-top space I have for it. I was disappointed to have to return it.

This is just what I was looking for. I find that making toast at around 350 degrees works much better than the toaster setting. It seems to run a bit hot but once you get used to using a lower temp than you would for a regular oven this works great - I'm very pleased with my purchase!
