Pretty coloring - dog flip-flopped
Loved putting this puzzle together! Fun colors to work with. The Christmas tree was the most challenging part, for me. Funny fact....the picture on the box shows the big dog facing one way, yet the puzzle itself has is facing the opposite direction (mirror image). It took a minute to figure out but then it added a little challenge to that part, which I found fun.

Challenging but fun. They fix the issue with the dog
This was a challenge for me but I really enjoyed it. Springbok always has great quality. I noticed some people said the dog on the box was backwards from the puzzle. Springbok must have fixed the box picture because the one I received matched.

Rich colors, inverted dog
The colors on this are rich. And the dogs are so fun. Oddly, the dog on the puzzle ended up inverted from the dog on the box...but all other aspects of the image were as pictured. Funny mistake, but the puzzle is still legit

Good quality, but puzzles pieces are missing
Have done many springbook puzzles before. I enjoy the quality and how each shape is unique and fits together well, however, this puzzle was missing pieces and as others noted the photo doesn’t match the puzzle.

CANT MOVE CONNECTED PIECES
Hate the new backing. Can’t move puzzle pieces that are connected at all! They fall completely apart. Customer for many year. Switching to white mountain puzzles because of being unable to move connected pieces. although I like springbok better.

Quality materials but image inaccuracies spoiled the fun
I liked the size of the pieces and overall challenge, but the puzzle mismatch to box image made for a truly unsatisfying experience. The central dog and hearth are flipped, but seemingly no other parts of the puzzle are (the box I received does not match the image in the Amazon posting). There are two full columns of image in the puzzle not represented in the picture.Edit: I received the following form letter from SpringBok when I complained. I note, however, that this puzzle is still for sale on their site. The form letter does not address either root cause, nor corrective action. They clearly did not recall a puzzle they knew to be defective. I do not think they have a handle on quality.Dear Phil,I am contacting you today because I understand we recently received some feedback regarding the quality of our puzzles. Some quality control issues on this one, but not a dealbreaker
I have built numerous Springbok puzzles, and have had a fairly good opinion of them. I consider them a step above many other brands in terms of quality and enjoyment, and often seek them out. This one, however, had some issues. For a brand new puzzle, I found too many of the pieces to be either slightly bent, or to have the paper slightly peeling off. If you look at the finished puzzle from an angle, these imperfections are quite noticeable because the puzzle isn't perfectly flat. Not a huge deal for me, but it does make me reconsider my opinion of Springbok quality a bit. If this were something I were going to frame (which I'm not), it might be an issue.Secondly, as many have noted, the dog on the box is facing in a different direction than the dog in the puzzle. Guess he got up and moved. The various images that make up a puzzle are clearly plopped into place by computer software, and in this case it was a mirror image that got plopped. Oops. It caused me some consternation at first, until I realized this was the case and proceeded accordingly. But Springbok should probably be selling these defective puzzles at a discount.Lastly - and this was a little more disconcerting than the reverse dog - a good two inches of the puzzle on the left side are not pictured on the box. Conversely, the extreme right side of the puzzle that IS shown on the box is not in the finished puzzle. In other words, the overall image shown on the box, which must have originally been larger than the one on the puzzle, is shifted to the right. This caused me considerable confusion while building it. So whoever did the box cover art really messed up.What I do like about Springbok puzzles is that the pieces are all very different, and very uniquely shaped. And the images have a lot going on in them, which makes for easier and more interesting assembly (who wants to do endless pieces of the same color? Not me!) While you would think the odd piece shapes would make building the puzzle easier, I think it makes figuring out where they go a bit more challenging because they often get placed in such odd, unnatural positions on the puzzle. It's often a bit of a surprise. I like that.Be advised that this is not the type of puzzle where pieces snap confidently into place. Rather, they fit together in a rather squishy way, and sometimes need some massaging/manipulating. Also, you can't pick up more than a few assembled pieces at a time without some falling apart. Not a big deal to me, but this might matter to some.I didn't find the puzzle too hard to build; it's on a similar difficulty level as many of the Springboks I've done. The tree, the wreath and the curtains were the most difficult for me. Overall, I did enjoy the puzzle, and, quality issues aside, I will give Springbok another chance as the other puzzles of theirs I've done have been fine. I'll just chalk this one up as a slightly defective one.

Colorful, festive and quality Springbok Puzzle
This has been probably my favorite of all the 1000 pc Springboks I've done. So what if the dog is facing a different direction..ppl that gave one or two stars because of that..smhh.. Listen, if you love Springbox, great thick quality, colorful and just the right amount of challenge, you'll love this one. I never do puzzles twice..but this one I saved. I could do it again tomorrow!
