A Horse Whisperer's Story
This is a teen/adult book and as an adult I enjoyed the series very much not because of the teen love affairs and clique-behaviors, but for one thing, because through Vivienne's eyes we got to understand the key characters. The author did a great job creating characters who all have different and interesting backgrounds that somehow play a role in Vivienne's story. This is a story of Vivienne, a country girl and daughter of a veterinarian who is an excellent rider and is given a scholarship to attend a topnotch training school, Fairmont, and then another scholarship to attend a prestigious summer program at Liberty Farms. And although she learns quite a bit, the experience there turns out to be overwhelming with new discoveries about her life, an attempt on her life, a surprising new love, and with the horse's help and others, solving of a murder mystery. She has a secret which she only shares with her mother. She can communicate with horses. This is the part I love best.I've read all three books and enjoyed the whole series. Although I read more sophisticated books, I can enjoy a book like this with mystery, humor, and strange events like 'horse whispering!'

Horsemanship and murder - a great combination!
I was bummed when Dick Francis stopped writing, but this teenage murder mystery is a nice bit of horse/murder fluff for a summer weekend beach read. Set in an exclusive boarding riding academy, giving the story line an interesting twist (didn't know these existed), it acts as a good location to set up all the teenage angst for the secondary story line (poor girl makes good in rich kids' world and finds true love). Excellent eventing and horsemanship descriptions (heck I will use this just hacking around on trail rides). There are enough twists to keep your interest, but if you're an adult, you will enjoy the elite rider stuff way more than the murder/teen drama.

More
I find I judge some books by a feeling of wanting more. The Vivienne Taylor Horse Lover's Mystery did just that, I want more! Michele Scott brought her storyline together perfectly, yet I wanted more. The development of her characters stories were were told and came together beautifully, however I wanted more. But, there is no book 4, a trilogy that could have been a series.

Great Book
Great book!!! This book is honestly one of my favorites in the Vivienne Taylor mysteries. There was a lot of suspense and action. A lot of unsuspecting things happened in this book. The elements of this book are suspense, action, romance and obviously HORSES. I recommend this book to anyone who loves horses and mysteries it was truly a great book. it dragged a lot through the story though. Hope you read it today.

A story for romantics, mystery enthusiasts and horse lovers.
Perfect Harmony is the final book in a trilogy bringing all the drama and excitement of the preceeding two novels to a happy ending. As a horse owner, I enjoyed the authenticity of the information regarding horses. Michele keeps you guessing as various plots unfold. The "Harmony" series us great. I could not put the book down until finished.

Great story!
First, the good part of my review. I LOVE this story. I couldn't put it down. The characters, the plot, the unusual bits that I haven't seen in other books so far. All of it, amazing. Now, for the bad part of my review. The book wasn't edited very well. There were a large number of grammatical errors. Finally, while the errors in the print irritated me, I will buy more books after the first 3. I do hope the author continues to write. I want to know what happens next!
