Love Lullabelly
I am currently 4 months pregnant, and have been using this for a few weeks. I first started looking into something like this when a friend showed me another product (listed on here, don't remember the name, starts with an R and is $130). I loved the idea and love music but that was a bit much for our first time parents budget.I can't feel if the baby responds to it at all yet...or know if it ever will, but I like the idea of it! It is really comfortable, the fabric is nice and plush, although I have to make it a tad tighter than the smallest setting still (which is not a big deal since it is velcro. I've worn it both over a shirt and next to my skin, and it doesn't rub or chafe or do anything uncomfortable. The first time I used it, I was listening with headphones also, and told my husband that I liked it, but would just have to trust that it was working, because how else would I know? I'm not in my belly after all! Well, the next time I used it without headphones on myself, I learned that if you have it up to its highest setting, you can definitely hear it, so it definitely works!! Now if the baby comes out loving (or perhaps hating) The Beatles and Ben Folds, we'll know if its actually hearing it, haha.My only complaint is that the pocket is a TAD snug. I can definitely fit the iPod, headphones, and connector cord all in there at the same time, but its cozy, and makes it a bit of a pain to take out the iPod and change the music. All in all I would definitely recommend it, I personally think its worth the money and like the idea that I am getting to impart my musical taste on the baby before my husband can, haha.ETA: As the baby got older, I could definitely feel him respond to it. It was actually great for times when I was nervous and hadn't felt him in awhile, because this would often get him moving. Obviously I'm not using it anymore because my baby is now 6 months old, but I will definitely save it for hopefully another pregnancy.

Disappointing Performance
The first time I used this, it seemed to work great and I loved it. The next day I went to use it again, and the sound was choppy and cutting in and out. It was awful, and after some troubleshooting I determined that it was the speaker; headphones plugged directly into my mp3 player or through the splitter into my mp3 player worked fine, but adding the speaker caused it to mess up, and plugging the speaker directly into the mp3 player caused the bad sound. So I contacted them and they very quickly and nicely sent me a replacement speaker. Unfortunately, it had the exact same problem. When I contacted them again they told me that all their speakers are tested and especially the replacement ones, and maybe it just wasn't compatible with my mp3 player (a Sansa). I tried it in my ancient Discman and sure enough, it works okay on that. What a bummer! This is a brand new Sansa I just got for Xmas and finally opened just to use with the Lullabelly. The Discman is on its last legs and doesn't work reliably, and will have nothing to do with a splitter at all - it makes it just go crazy. So baby can listen to music for now, but I can't share the music with her. It's disappointing; I can't imagine why such a generic little speaker wouldn't work with my mp3 player. It definitely makes it much less convenient; I can't tuck the Discman into the little pocket like I could my little Sansa. At least the headphones are good quality and I can listen to my mp3 player with them. I do think it's pretty over-priced for the dinkiness and non-compatibility of the speaker, but the company is pretty nice.

Just what I was looking for!
This belt seems pretty perfect. There is a little zippered space for your MP3 player (It would fit a big unit, but since it wraps around my stomach I've opted for a smaller iPod nano that I had from a few years ago). You plug in the belt to the MP3 player, and you're set! I love that even when the iPod and belt are both at max volume the sound for the baby is still relatively quiet. They say it is "normal conversation level", to me it does seem a bit lower than that. The set comes with a splitter and set of headphones if you'd like to listen on your own as well. Mom's set has it's own volume control, which I like. As well, mom's set has rubber pads on it and seems pretty comfortable (important for me since I have relatively small ears, these don't hurt!).The belt is made of fleece with padding, and it seems well made to me. The back connects with about 12 inches of velcro and it really does stick! My only complaint is the available colors of this unit. The belt is for mom to use before the baby is born, and already we're forced to use a product that looks like it is for a newborn. I would have preferred plain black. Instead I have brown with green dots.

Overall a good buy. Broken splitter.
Overall the item was recieved as I expected. The belt is a soft plushy fleece and its comfortable to wear directly against your skin. The velcro in the back may be a little scratchy. However im only 20 weeks and I basically wear the band fully tightened so its not really an issue for me. The only problem I had was that the splitter did not work at all. Im just too lazy to go and get a new one. The belt plays the music softly against my belly and works with my iphone. Overall I like the product. Just wish the splitter worked so we could both enjoy the music.Update: sorry for the delay in updating my review. Shortly after I entered my review in, the company sent me a new splitter, which works. I thought that was such great customer service...especially since I did not call them to complain. I still use my lullabelly almost daily in the evenings before bed for about an hour. I am now 27 weeks. I think it helps soothe the baby and get her ready for bed! Less kicking when I go to bed.

Cool Stuff for baby
At first, I had no intention to buy. Well, as a mother-to-be for the first child, this one is interesting stuff for the baby. The belt is nice, soft and easy to use.

molto caro
