Leslie Dame Solid Oak Apothecary Style Multimedia Storage Cabinet, Walnut

I have a few hundred CDs and lost my big stand in Hurricane Sandy when it toppled over. I saved the CDs, and for the last year washed off most of them and their cases. Now it was time to replace their storage. So I bought 2 of these cabinets and each drawer DOES indeed hold 25 with their cases, if you stack them right. A bit tight so I lessened the amount in each drawer. Stacking 2 of these vertically made a nice end-table as well in my living room, so I also found a place to sit my lamp! This is good quality wood. Only thing is - the real thing is a slightly different color than what is shown in this picture. It's more like a 'mahogany-colored' wood and not so much brown, as shown. The drawers don't slide out too easily and if you pull too hard, the drawer is sure to come completely out. However, despite these minor complaints, this cabinet is a good bargain and I'm happy enough to buy 2 and keep them.

This container came on time, was a bit dusty from sitting awhile and a single drawer needed a touch of sanding to make it settle easily into its slot. No serious issues otherwise. The whole was very well packaged during shipping. The item holds around 250 compact or movie discs when out into paper sleeves per each shelf. An excellent method to store these types of products.

We purchased the oak 150 CD cabinet as well as as the 225 CD version that has not yet arrived. We will then have 3 Leslie Dame cabinets in oak in total. We have an extensive CD collection and we keep buying extra cabinets as the number grows. This is a nice quality wood cabinet. Knobs can be easily removed (unscrewed) to replace with novelty knobs of your choice. I have also seen these cabinets with colorful refinishes at a local 2nd hand store that also refurbishes furniture. Cabinet is heavy and not flimsy. Good CD storage furniture like this is hard to find.

Exterior finish on this Leslie Dame Apothecary is lovely.  Leslie Dame Wood CD, DVD Storage Cabinet 6 Drawer Apothecary Style CD-150W Walnut  Very beautifully done! But .... the inside of the drawers are rough and un-sanded, like raw, rough-hewn lumber you'd use to build a fence. The drawers drag a little, they don't slide out smoothly. The rough interior scratches jewel cases, tears paper sleeves, scrapes my fingers and I'm expecting a splinter any day now. For this price, they couldn't have sanded the inside? So now I'm going to have to do it myself. Sand the interior of each and every drawer -- by hand. What fun. I would have returned it, but it does the job it was hired for. Plus, it was the only smallish / shelf-sized wood dvd holder with drawers that I could find. Sadly, this was my present to my husband for our 2nd anniversary. That made Leslie Dame's workmanship doubly disappointing. I won't be purchasing from them again.

I ordered 2 of these units to hold both my music AND my movie collection (had to pitch the covers).. and the units have served me well over time. But, like everything else, time changes things and I eventually ran out of room.. I had to buy another.These guys sit in an entry hall, visible upon entering my unit.. the "new" order unit fits in BEAUTIFULLY with the existing 2 units.. the color is only slightly different and I'm sure that's due to the slide variation in terms of exposure to light of the former purchases.. you really can't tell the difference (I ordered "cherry" and its dark enough that you would expect more of a change)...Thank you to the manufacturer.. it's nice to know that years can go by and nothing suffers from the delay..

I have a great collection of cds and a big quality so I ordered the stand just to find out I needed more storage so I ordered this for the top of the main unit .this really worked great and I like the look . I didn't like that I had know way to attach the two together this came with nothing I went to the store and got some bracelets it works but with no cds in the top unit the front lifts up . All and all I'm very happy with this unit

A good looking wood CD drawer set. Holds a lot of CD's and isstackable. You can remove the drawers and put them on top makingit easier to find what CD you are looking for. Comes complete, noassembly required. Only problem is the space for CD's is small andany oversized CD's or box sets won't fit in it. You could put themsideways though as long as their height isn't more than normal.

This cabinet looks okay at first glance, but not so much after closer inspection. Looking closer, the drawer assembly is made of very thin wood...and looks rather fragile. The cabinet itself is made in China. The stain looks quickly applied - and perhaps doesn't look as bad on the darker stained models (Walnut stain). It might be a matter of style/taste and preference, but I'd strongly suggest the Vaultz line of CD cabinets...especially for extensive CD collections. The Vaultz models are far sturdier and generally a better buy for the money you'll spend. I'd also warn potential buyers to make a purchase from this vendor at your own risk. They charge a 30% "restocking fee" plus what it will cost you for your return postage. If you don't like what you've bought once you've received it - you can return it - but at a significant penalty. I'd advise folks not to do business with this merchant altogether. There are far better alternatives.
