I really enjoyed the concept of a fluoride-free toothpaste made from natural ingredients. And this product delivers that. It has a nice smoothness to it and a minty flavor. There is a funny after taste almost like eating coco butter but it isn’t bad. However, there are two major things I found less appealing. The label states that it will help brighten/whiten your teeth, but I found the opposite happening. My teeth are naturally pretty white when brushed regularly, but the toothpaste didn’t seem to help maintain that, after a couple of days it started turning my teeth slightly yellow, not very noticeably yellow so that people were saying something. But enough so that I noticed my teeth didn’t look like they usually did. Perhaps, I just needed to use it longer. I suspect it is probably due to the second thing I noticed about the toothpaste, and that was that it left a film of oil or reside on my teeth after use. It was an odd sensation and I did not feel my usual squeaky clean. I now alternate between this toothpaste and my usual crest. And that seems to work out better for me.

I was using David's Charcoal toothpaste before this. It was my 1st time buying David's. Great paste but if you squeeze tube wrong then holes appear and STAY in the aluminum tube. This can't be undone, sadly. There was no other toothpaste I thought would be able to do for me what David's did. I was wrong as Charbright gave me amazing whitening results in the first two uses. Also important, the tube doesn't have holes in it when I squeeze it. No dirty sink! 😭🙌 Anyhow, the flavor of Charbright could be stronger - it has a faint mint taste. This would be my only complaint (want stronger taste) and the plastic tubing for the paste to be something else eco-friendly. 4 stars. Thanks! I'll be sticking with Charbright Alkaline from now on. 😎

I’ve tried to find alternatives to the fluoridated typical toothpastes for several years. The obstacles to implementation have been horrid tastes, terrible textures that make my toothbrush ritual into a contest to suppress gagging, frequent ineffectiveness, and other unwanted ingredients (sodium laurel sulfate, carrigenaan, etc).Finally!!! One that is avoids all these pitfalls.I was skeptical about adjusting to a black colored toothpaste which turned out to be a no struggle at all. Just different then prior colors. After the first try, I noticed a good clean feeling to my teeth, no prolonged aftertaste from excessive essential oils, teeth stayed as white as with the typical brands and there was no lingering inflammation of my gums and mouth The latter has occurred with several of these alternative pastes as well as Crest and Colgate.I actually was excited to order the second tube and await its arrival, as I incorrectly recalled buying it locally and could not find it in any of the stores I checked. So I ran out. Then looked at my prior Amazon orders and realized my source was right here.Again. Trying alternatives while waiting made me miss this one.I plan to continue with Charbright. I hope they don’t change the “recipe”.

I really like this toothpaste. It has the perfect consistency and I have already noticed a difference in my teeth looking whiter. The taste is good, as you would expect with any toothpaste. My mouth and teeth feel really clean after and I feel like it does a better job than regular toothpaste. I worried the consistency would be unappealing but it is perfect. I am hooked and will continue to use and buy this as my standard toothpaste. I have tried other alkaline toothpastes that were way too thick and had a horrible taste. This is by far the best and I like it better than any of the basic toothpastes as well because it feels like it does a better job.

AFTER A FEW DAYS I NOTICED A MARKED IMPROVEMENT IN THE WHITENING OF MY TEETH. THAT YELLOWISH TINGE HAS DISAPPEARED. THIS TOOTHPASTE ACTUALLY HAS A PLEASANT MINTY TASTE. I WAS SKEPTICAL TO USE IT AT FIRST THINKING THAT IT WOULD DISCOLOR MY NATURAL TEETH BUT IT RINSES AWAY WELL. WILL DEFINITELY ORDER AGAIN.

It did whiten my teeth some. Works pretty good. It is a little messy. I would have gave 5 stars because I thought shipping was high for a tube of tooth paste.

The media could not be loaded.  It does leave my mouth feeling cleaning though it’s not as strong as I thought it would be. The scent is light. Since there are no foaming agents it does dissolve pretty quick so I have to reapply a second time or third depending what I’ve eaten.

It's really weird to see your mouth all black while brushing your teeth, but definitely worth it! I have been using this product for over a week now and have noticed a dramatic difference in the color of my teeth. I drink coffee and smoke cigarettes so my teeth used to be stained light yellow. Not anymore!! And the soft minty taste is definitely a plus!!
