Very Adjustable & Sturdy!
Love this laptop stand. I have an 16in ASUS laptop and it fits perfectly. I see no reason it would not be compatible with laptops smaller than this, or at least 1 to 2 inches larger. It's very easy to use and adjust. There are two rotation points on the stand, one to control the height you require and the other for the angle required. There are no set locking points so you can adjust to any position you like. The stand itself is very sturdy, I have been using this every day for months and it's still as good as new. The rotation points despite being free are very stiff (in a good way) so once you have it in the desired position, it's not budging. Whilst browsing for the stand I noticed a lot of complaints with other brands that it would no longer hold in place after prolonged periods of time but no issues with that here!Once done, the stand can be collapsed right down and packed away in a drawer if need be. It'll be almost flat so takes up a minimal amount of space.Would highly recommend!

Excellent stand with great build quality
I have been working from home the last few months due to the current pandemic. Initially I tried using my laptop on my desk and realised that was causing back ailments. I then improvised using a cookery book stand that i requisitioned from the kitchen: this was a lot better but still not the perfect height. So I did lots of research and saw that many stands looked flimsy, unaesthetic, and not sturdy. The Boyata that I ordered from Amazon arrived within two days: amazing speedy delivery. It's superb! It matches the look of my MacBook Air very well. It has great ventilation at the back to prevent overheating. It oozes sturdiness (you could use it as a weapon to knock someone out!) and looks good on the desk. The brand logo is etched on the front; some reviewers have complained about its prominence, but I"m led to wonder if they complain about an Apple logo; I have no problem with it, and maybe people just need to get over seeing a foreign sounding name on a product. But most importantly, it does what it is designed to do: to support a laptop at a designated height. As other reviewers have pointed out, the friction joints are stiff, but they need to be so that, once set to chosen height, there is no risk of accidental movement or sagging. One point to note as a result, and, again, others are right to point this out, is that once you have it set just leave it on the desk for the next time you use it; don't fold it away. It certainly CAN be folded away, but it's then going to take longer to unfold it and to re-locate your ideal position.Regarding ideal position of adjustment, I have found that the stand doesn't need to be anywhere as high as you initially might think. The bottom arm is bette placed as close to horizontal as possible for you; that way, there is no risk of the weight of your laptop tipping the stand over backwards. If you buy this stand, it comes with a card that allows you to register for an extra one year's warranty (making it two years in total), which is clearly a good thing. I am assuming that the manufacturer will support the item in all meaningful ways.Going forward, there are two things that the desingners might want to consider in tweaking the design. One is to maybe make the joints accessible by the user so that they can be tightened (if necessary) over the long term. The second, and one that I consider more important, is that I think the front edge should be an upwards ledge so that there is no risk of one's laptop ever sliding forward: this hasn't happened to me, but I can see that (if one were in a rush) it could: an upsweeping lip would prevent this. I hope this constructive feedback will be taken on board.Overall, I cannot think of a better laptop stand that I could have found to allow me to use my laptop on my desk., so I recommend this product without qualification.

Reviews are right - this is a cracking item. Choice of colours useful.
I'm currently trying to get a set up so that I can use my elderly but upgraded and adequate laptop for general PC tasks rather than my desktop which is massively overpowered and wasteful of electricity for such things (although it does heat my office quite nicely!)I thought I may as well get a stand like this so that I could use both the laptop screen and my main monitor when needed and it puts the laptop screen at a much more neck friendly height. I use an external keyboard so this works.I liked that colours other than Apple silver were available since my laptop is grey. It's not a perfect match of course, but looks pretty OK.The stand is really well made (I'm an engineer by background and quite fussy). It's fairly simple cut and bent aluminium alloy, but the arms/struts are nicely milled. There are no sharp or rough edges and the paint finish is good with a very slight hammered look.Rubber pads are present on the main plate which goes underneath your laptop and on the lips which stick up at the front to hold it. Laptop goes on easily and feels very secure.I don't know what type of pivots they use on the arms/struts. I'm not going to be opening closing mine much so longevity of these is not a concern. They are very stiff which is perfect for my use, but not so great if you were planning to take this places with you a lot.Could do with the logo being less prominent , but that's about the only downside I can find.FWIW, I have also bought a powered USB hub (Sabrent) with loads of ports to attach all my peripherals and then I have two USB 3.0 cables. One for the laptop, one for the desktop, so it's easy to swap between the two and have all peripherals swapped from one PC to the other.

Well made, a joy to use, just wish it had been a bit cheaper.
This is actually better than I thought it was going to be. It's very sturdy and nicely made. The packaging was awesome... it shipped in a custom made bubble bag that I was so impressed with I've kept in the hope I can repurpose for something. My laptop has a 14in screen and this sits nicely on the stand, overlapping each side by about an inch or so. The height range is impressive, you can actually get your laptop screen right up to your eyeline (which I know is the point) but you can also alter the angle of the top plate so you can still use the laptop keyboard if you wish. I prefer to use a separate bluetooth keyboard and this slots neatly under the laptop when not in use so you dont lose any desk space. I actually find this quite handy for moving location as I can stow my pad, keyboard and mouse on the base plate and then grab the top plate and my laptop together and move everything in one go. I've docked one star as I think it's a bit overpriced but that might have been due to the fact that I bought this during the COVID-19 lockdown (supply and demand and all that...). Overall, if you work regularly from a laptop you really should invest in a riser for the sake of your back and you wont be disappointed in this one.

Very sturdy and very quality feel - for that reason it isn't lightweight
This feels like a very strong, sturdy and high quality product. As far as I'm concerned it justifies the price as a premium product.I was expecting some form of tightening bolt/clamp to adjust the angles, but it seems the joints are stiff enough that after you have pushed them into place they stay put. I hope that they maintain that strength over time, as at the moment it's holiding my laptop up perfectly. The lip at the front to stop the laptop sliding off seems a good height and is doing the job as it should.I really like this, it is sturdy, stable, strong and looks good. Because it is so sturdy and made from metal, it is not lightweight. If you need something lightweight then this is not the product for you, but personally that is not an issue because I don't want to carry this around with my laptop anyway - it is for sitting on my desk for when I'm working on my laptop in my usual location. Would gladly recommend.

Nice desk stand
I like this stand and I like that it comes it different colours. I looked to get any stand to stop my bad posture when working from home. I have one desk monitor and used the laptop screen as a second monitor, however it was beginning to hurt my neck and shoulders as it wasn’t the same height.I was going to get a cheaper stand but decided to get one that was sturdy and adjustable. The reviews were good so I got this one.It is sturdy, fairly weighty and importantly, it’s adjustable. The first time I raised it and put the laptop on it was a bit wobbly. However I realised adjusting it by one side at a time made it unbalanced. Raising it from the middle stopped that. I would say though that if you are using the laptop keyboard, it does feel like the laptop will tip the stand backwards when standing. I use a separate keyboard and mouse so this doesn’t really affect me.In all though it’s a good stand and will fit in a bag to use on the go.

Worth It, You Won't Be Sorry. Don't Hesitate.
In spit of using my laptop constantly (or so I thought), I never needed a laptop lift until the nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus. Working remotely thrust me into working online for 12-16 hours a day. After a week of that my neck was in so much pain, I didn't know how I was going to go on. I could no longer look down at my laptop without extreme pain, so I began looking down at my laptop for a solution on Amazon. I wanted something sturdy and easy to use without moving parts that could break and be annoying to adjust (preferably one pice). I liked this one because it seemed to have all the things I was looking for, and I like the silver-tone color. To be honest, there was one that I liked slightly more, but the projected delivery date was a week more than this one, and my neck couldn't take any more. Plus, this had many good reviews, and it weighted a bit more than the other one. For something that's going to support my MacBook Air, I prefer it to be heavier, and sturdier, so I ordered this one. I LOVE IT!I'm trying to add pictures, but Amazon seems to have disabled that right now??? not sure, but i've added pictures to reviews in the past, but now I don't see that as an option. Some reviewers complained that it's hard to adjust. It's not hard to adjust. It doesn't glide with the touch of a finger, no, but it's holding my MacBook Air. I wouldn't want it to be slipping up and down easily. It moves up and down stiffly, and yes, it does require a conscious effort and significant pressure. It's easier to adjust it without the laptop placed on it. I think this is the way we want the stand to be. It should take some effort to adjust it, so that it stays put. But it's not hard to get it to move the way you want it to go AT ALL. And, There are no separate parts that can get lost or broken. I love that.My neck still hurts, because I'm on the computer just an unreasonable number of hours per day. But, my neck was to the point of no return before I got this, and without it, I couldn't have gone on, so this lift has really helped a lot.I recommend ordering a separate keyboard and mouse so your hands can work comfortably below. It's not comfortable to raise your arms up so high to type. I knew this would be the case when I ordered this stand, so I also ordered an extra keyboard and mouse that I could use with the stand, to not have to raise my arms up high to type.I saw one or more questions asking if it's uncomfortable to use the computer mousepad with the brackets projecting out from the stand. One reviewer said they're flush, so no, it isn't. They are absolutely NOT flush with my MacBook Air, however I don't think they would interfere with me using the mousepad, if I chose to use the laptop mousepad, which I sometimes do. Usually, however, I use the mouse and keyboard on the table level that I purchased. If you're using a laptop for many hours a day, you should really invest in this lift. It's worth the money to help your neck and back, and to avoid headaches and neck/back pain. I've been using this lift for a couple of weeks, and I am very pleased with my purchase. I don't think you can go wrong with this lift. One thing that could improve it a bit is to have the base be a little heavier. A couple of times it has started to tilt back a little. I have my keyboard on the base, which helps. A slightly heavier base would help more. No accidents so far with m MacBook Air toppling over, but still...

Three Big Benefits - Read my description
There are three reasons I love this.1. The stand raises my laptop screen to eye level. This dramaticallly reduces my neck strain and eliminates the pain I used to feel when working for long times on the laptop.2. I teach, and in that role, I often meet with my students in teams using Zoom. The stand raises the camera, which iis at the top of the screen, to eye level. The students are no longer looking at my double chin, which is what they saw when the laptop was flat on the table.3. My laptop sometimes gets really hot, and the heat is blown to the bottom, causing the table to get hot. This cannot be good for the laptop. The stand allows the heat to exit the laptop, keeping it much cooler. This is a nice looking and well-made stand. I love it.
