Vitanica Slow Flow, Menstrual Support with Ginger, Vegan, 60 Capsules

Since I'm in the US and Healthcare is a business here, and I'm grossly under insured just to get the insurance I can, I have to be careful about how often I go to the doctor. I did have some rx left over that wasn't expired yet and that rx only worked half the time when my monthly decided to freak out. Freak out as in so bad I would almost faint, I slept a lot, I was so weak, couldn't stand for more than a couple of min, felt like I was giving birth to clots the size of an adult's fist and it would last WEEKS. It happens around twice a year. My only cure is a hysterectomy according to my doctor. But I can't afford my high deductible at the moment. I took my rx and it slowed things, but made me feel like I was dying from weakness and bloating. So I stopped and the hemorrhaging ramped back up. Bleed to death and feel OK but weak or feel like dying and only half the blood. Sigh. So I tried this. The label directions aren't the same as the directions on the product page. So I followed the label directions and took 3 of the regular pills. Within a couple of hours it slowed significantly but I didn't feel bloated. I saw another review here that said to use the fact acting stuff, so I ordered that. While waiting for the fact stuff to come in, the bleeding came back with a vengeance. I started the fact acting bottle as soon as it came in. Within 24 hours, only an occasional clot here and there would occur and I felt energetic and not bloated. Within 36 hours the nightmare ended and I'm free. The pills are massive and there's no real after taste. I feel better taking them with a bit of food and about 8oz of water. Usually pills don't set well with my sensitive stomach, but these did just fine, no issues. The value for the money is good, because it's cheaper than feeling like you're dying, changing feminine products every half an hour, doing emergency laundry every day, or getting surgery in the US. I don't know if this is a long term fix as this is only my first time trying it. But if you're in a tough spot like I was, I just wanted to say it worked. And for what it's worth, I'm usually a naysayer about herbal/ homeopathic remedies. Like I really did try this because I had no other hope or obtainable options. I'm so happy and appreciative that this was available. Thank you!

I have to be honest; this stuff is a god send. I wish I could hug the creators of this amazing vitamin/medication. Vitanica Slow Flow is more then I hoped for. Here's my long-winded story. After bleeding for a month, saw my doc. Doc said, "Those in perimenopause can have this happen. I'll send you for an ultrasound and to an OBGYN." Two ultrasounds later and OBGYN who said, "Thickening of the uterine wall. Get surgery." Went home researched the procedure and it has mixed reviews. It might help; it might not. More often than not works for a short time then it all happens again and people end up with hysterectomies. At this point I was in month 3 of bleeding and doc said "Ok, it's fine. We are just going to watch for anemia because your numbers are insanely low." No @#$! I told you that it's a murder scene in my bathroom every hour because NOTHING holds the amount, I was bleeding. Then one day it just stopped. I was so grateful for the blessing and moved on. Went almost a year with just some spotting here and there and figured. Oh, thank goodness, maybe I'm finally in Menopause. I was wrong. I started bleeding again, at first a normal period, then week two it got crazy heavy. I was back to the bathroom every 30 min to an hour. Had to get the period diapers along with an ultra-tampon. it was so bad. The clots were by far the worst part of it. At a month of this, my mental state was not great. Worried about anemia again and knowing that my insurance is worse now than it was before I started a search online. I found someone on a review of this exact product. Her story was extremely similar to mine. I finally felt like I wasn't alone and she said it worked for her. I was already two weeks of heavy bleeding at this point so, I decided to try it. Day one, took it as directed, and it slowed a bit. Day two, took as directed, and it slowed way down. I could actually leave the house and not be scared. Day three, took as directed and it went down to spotting. OMG! This stuff is amazing. but what it I stop taking it and it all comes back. Day four, tapered down dosage to see what would happen. Just spotting still. Day five, tapered down again, Nothing. No bleeding. Day six, didn't take. No bleeding Day seven - one month later. I have no bleeding. I honestly think this stuff saved my mental state and my body. Thank you to the makers. If you are going through anything like this, this is an amazing product. It's worth it to have your life back.

Peri-menopause is not for the weak. For me, it meant extremely heavy bleeding that pretty much debilitated me for 7 days out of every 26 days. After going through this for a few years, I became Anemic and extremely worn down, despite taking Iron and trying to eat specifically for this condition. Gynecologist prescribed hormones which did nothing for the bleeding and caused all kinds of other problems. All the doctors said my next step was a hysterectomy (the path that both my mother and my grandmother trod around this time in their lives). Luckily, a few months ago I saw a Naturopath who recommended Slow Flow. I don't think it's exaggerating too much to say this product saved my life (at least my ability to actually live it). For those wondering how to take Slow Flow, my Naturopath recommended 3 caps in the am and and 3 caps in the pm during flow. Personally, I found I didn't need to take it during the entire cycle. Also, if you are only going to take it once a day, I would recommend taking it at night. What a relief not to get up 5 times during the night! My experience was that it started working within the hour and had both a short-term and long-term effect. The first month I took 3 caps twice a day for the first 3 days of my period. My bleeding was reduced to about 25% of what it had been. I was stunned. I was hopeful, but also a little worried that it might be a fluke. The second month, my first day was light (before it typically started in flood range and escalated from there). On the second day I went ahead and took 3 caps twice a day. I didn't really need more--had an actually normal period. The third month I didn't take any and still had a normal period. Blood tests show that my Anemia is resolved. I will try to keep this updated to show if it continues to work. I notice in the comments that many of the people with positive reviews state that they are in Peri-menopause, so perhaps it is particularly helpful for that. I am grateful that I did not have to have invasive surgery and that I have regained my life. I owe it to Slow Flow. If I could, I would give this product 100 stars. UPDATE: More than a year later and SlowFlow is still working great for me. I take it for the first few days during heavy periods: 2-3 tabs in the morning and 2-3 tabs in the evening. At this point, I find I can often skip a whole month, but if I need it, I know it's there for me and that it WORKS. I have found that upping the Vitamin K in your diet is also helpful (kale, cabbage, greens, broccoli).

I have endometriosis and I have a difficult time with heavy bleeding and I struggle with maintaining the endometriosis diet which is practically vegan. Heavy bleeding, cramps and pelvic inflammation are a struggle for me. I use cherry extract pills for the inflammation which works great but I still battle with heavy bleeding. With careful diet (my best effort because it's difficult to be vegan) I have tried to reduce the bleeding plus I am sensitive to many herbs. I tried red raspberry which worked for 3 months and made me violently sick. I finally decided to try slow flow and it seems to work. I already use yarrow and shepherds purse extract in my sage tea and have noticed a difference when I eat healthy. This month I didn't follow thru with my healthy diet plus I drank wine the day before my period which is a no no for endo women like myself. On day one of my period I took 3 pills in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. I noticed slight less bleeding than I know what I expected from past experiences. During that evening into the next morning usually I bleed a lot. Well this time it was less..maybe 1/3 less that what I would usually bleed. Day two of my period I was bleeding much less and the cramps were less but still uncomfortable. By 6pm on day two I was almost spotting as opposed to bleeding. I took two motrins and I slept like a baby and didn't wake up once to change my pad at night. I do recommend this product as I mentioned previously I had a really bad reaction to red raspberry tea. I drink sage tea as it helps with the nausea, hot flashes, and abdominal pain of my scar tissues. Combine sage tea with Slow Flow and I have noticed a difference. Please keep in mind I am on a mostly vegan diet which some chicken breast or turkey breast on occasion. If you've had a bad reaction to red raspberry then I say try this. Also, as I mentioned previously I use cherry extract pills that help with pelvic inflammation. I use the brand from Solgar. I hope this review helps many women. I have had endometriosis for 11 years so I understand what it is like to battle your own body.

In 2 years of dealing with heavy periods and awful cramping and as of late terrible blood clots, so much so that it was hard to have a life, I couldn’t go anywhere if I had plans I had to cancel them.. this right here felt like a miracle to me! It controlled the bleeding and the symptoms that come along with a period. I took 3 capsules the very first time I ingested the supplement, it took about 6 hours to kick in. After the initial dose I started taking only 2 every 8-9 hours and it worked wonderfully for me. I had gone from having a 32 day period to now just 8 days with Vitanica Slowflow. I’m only taking it while I’m on my period, not sure if I'm supposed to take it daily. I would definitely recommend it.

I took this for only one cycle, taking the larger dosage recommended by the company for heavy bleeding. Three days later, my heart was going into Afib and and long-QT (look it up, this can cause stroke, heart attack and death) and was passing out regularly. Some of the herbs in this blend have a diuretic effect and can greatly deplete your electrolytes which is serious for your heart and all other organs. Because of taking this medicine one time, I now have had two weeks of debilitating heart issues, have had a couple doc appts, a cardiology appt, and I have to monitor my heart to see if I have to go to the ER. I couldn’t drive to work for a couple weeks because my heart was so off that I would pass out driving. Please take heed. Even though my period is horrible, I’ll take it over how awful I’ve felt and how scared I’ve been the last two weeks. Update: the company was kind enough to reach out to me and refund me for the bottle. They seem a responsible company, but please don't use large doses right away, and be aware they have diuretic properties- so watch your electrolytes.

I must agree with all the other positive comments on here. This drug is a miracle, life changer and life saver. Literally! Reading all the comments/testimonies on here gave me hope when I was going through it. I am 55 years old, evidently perimenopausal. I had a period for 2 weeks straight(which was already concerning for me), then at the beginning of the 3rd week the bleeding became very intense and heavy. I was going through an ultra tampon and maxi pad every 2 hours around the clock. This totally came out of the blue. I was alarmed and didn't know exactly what was going on with me, until I read some similar reviews on here. Some women had even went 29, 30 + days of heavy, intense bleeding. I couldn't get into see a gynecologic for 2 weeks. I knew this bleeding couldn't continue to this degree for that long. Thank God I came across these pills online and immediately ordered them. It was a continued longer 2 days of extreme heavy bleeding night and day until I finally got them in the mail. I was hoping the results would be immediate...but they weren't. I had read in the comments where one lady tried taking them every 3 hours around the clock, so I tried that. This didn't work at all. By this time I was well into my 5th day of intense bleeding. I decided to take them(3 pills) every 2 hours around the clock sitting my alarm. FINALLY after nearly 24 hours of doing this I started to see results. Each 2 hours praying. Then I noticed I wasn't have to change my ultra tampon until every 3 hours, then eventually every 4 hours and so forth...then I ran out of pills and had to wait a 12 hour period before receiving my next bottle and I starting more freq bleeding again. Once I got my second bottle in the mail I started them every 2 hours again for a short period and then slowly, but surely noticed the bleeding was gradually slowing again. At this point I am in my 9th day and each day is getting better as I have started my 3rd bottle now. I did notice better results with the slow flow that had "fast-acting support" written on the bottle, than the bottles that doesn't have that written on them. I had obviously frantically ordered these from 2 different sellers on Amazon and didn't realize the bottles were slightly different at first. I do not know if the "fast-acting support" are any different or if by the time I started taking them I was already getting better regardless and it just seemed these pills were working more efficiently than the ones from the bottle that didn't have that written on the label. Just thought this was worth mentioning.(I have also sent pics of each bottle for reference) As I am writing this review it is 11pm at night and I realize I haven't had to change my tampon since around noon today...10 glorious hours. I am taking them(3pills) about every 5 hours now. I am praying hopefully even tomorrow I will be able to reduce my dosage down the recommended 3 in the morning and 3 at night...and then praying again in the next few days after that eventually stop bleeding entirely. But whew! what a ride these past 9 days have been. I hope if anyone has been surprised and worried by unexpected, uncontrollable, extreme bleeding like I have, that my review helps you, comforts you and gives you some sort of hope as other reviews on here did for me. As of now I am waiting on my 4th bottle to come in the mail this week. Hopefully I won't need it though. Blessing =) ...oh and a side note I did start taking iron supplements on day 2. I highly suggest anyone with heavy bleeding to do this.

Honest review. This stuff did exactly what it says it does.my never ending 27 day period stopped completely within 2 days. I only took 1 a day on the first day then 2 the next because I have a sensitive stomach. Flow completely gone! If you have a never ending flow like mine, buy this! It works

This does not help women with menstrual issues or people who suffer from dysfunctional uterine bleeding, but it's good for women with normal periods or short heavy periods.

I dont know why I bought this stuff - snake oil really. Does nothing.
