The best black licorice ever. These are my new favorite candy !

I over the last 20 yrs or so, I had searched for black licorice toffee. I just couldn’t find it. Finally, about 2 months ago I found that the company I was looking for was no longer in business. So i changed my search to a generic search of companies that made black licorice toffees. Walker's Nonsuch Toffees came up at the top of the list. I ordered 1 bag to see if Walkers was comparable. Boy, did I hot the jackpot! I immediately ordered 12 bags and am still eating and sharing them after 2 months. Black licorice is an acquired taste. I have found of those I've offered them to are over 50, with only one person under 50. If you didn't grow up eating black licorice, you more than likely won't like it. This isn't your standard Twizzlers or Black Vine licorice. The texture is smoother and creamier. The flavor is not overwhelming and they are easy to chew. I was worried they would arrive melted or they would become hard in transit. I'm in the desert and I had one package of soft pastilles arrive from the UK melted. I have shared this wonderful find with my coworkers and a family member. The worst thing any of them has said was they didn't want more than a few because they are addicting.

What’s not to love with this deliciousness! It’s not hard or too soft but just right! I subtracted one star off because of its high cost for not too many candies!

These licorice toffees are amazing!

I got some Callard & Bowser licorice toffee in London in the late 80s and never forgot it. I was so sad when they quit making it. I like regular licorice a lot and i even really like European salt licorice. I was excited to find the Walker's brand to replace C&B.The package arrived just a few days after ordering. I've already eaten half the bag just today! The flavor is just what I was hoping for. The toffees are a lot firmer than what I remember of C&B but if you just suck on the toffee for a few minutes it softens up nicely.These are not a replacement for regular licorice, just a variation on it. Don't buy if you are looking for an intense licorice flavor.

This is the licorice I was looking for that is just like I used to get when “ Callard & Bowser” was in business. It’s a chewy toffee substance so delicious. I can’t find anything this good anywhere. It tastes identical to what “ Callard & Bowser” used to make. If you like licorice, you will love this!!

You can't get C&B anymore but these are the same candy and the only quality licorice toffee I've found. Even Licorice.com has nothing close. You can't just eat these - they're a hard chewy toffee with a pure licorice flavor.

Bought as part of a basket of goodies for a shut i .im sure they will be well received.

Sehr leckere lakritztoffees.Finde ich sehr gut und viel besser als bei einer deutschen Version,die mir deutlich zu salzig war. Etwas teurer aber dafür auch leckerer
