My daughter squealed with excitement when she saw the Pepper Pig train, we decided to mount it on her bedroom wall as it is rather big. It literally took seconds to assemble and as a bonus there's a small version of the train to pop out and place on a stand. It may only be cardboard but my daughter is over the moon with it.

If you have a devout fan of Peppa Pig and the space to display it, then this is a great addition to a nursery. Excellent used as a photo prop too. Easy to assemble, it came in a large cardboard envelope. It is pricey but is good quality.

Arrived well packaged in thick cardboard and popped this straight into the kid’s room and looks absolutely perfect! Large, vibrant and hardwearing! It is lovely and colourful, featuring grandpa Pig, Peppa, George, and schoolfriends.It is rather large though, so please make sure you take measurements before ordering. Overall, a great piece of wall art for the current price of £34.99.

In the days before Christmas, we have an intensive birthday period in our family. So when the EU cousins arrive just ahead of that, one of the first tasks will be to assemble this train. It looks as if that will be very straightforward; the work of minutes. I am not sure it will stand on its own three feet into the long term – i.e. all Christmas – but it can lean against something if not, and won’t hurt anyone if it falls over. Life size? Well, at just less than two metres long (6’ 5”), the train isn’t life size, so we have to accept that the height of 840mm (33”) to the top of Grandpa Pig’s hat – and 650mm (25”) to the highest point of Peppa’s snout – is some indication of how big they are. I can’t say I’m wild about the Peppa Pig art work, but the enthusiasm for her of small children and their mothers makes that irrelevant (for them). And she’s English – and big (very big) in America. Furthermore, this ‘Star Cutout’ is made in England! On the downside: as delivered, there are several creases across my Grandpa Pig’s face and body, his engine and the rear truck. This affects the top, printed, layer only, so cannot be the fault of bending in transit, which would have gone through all layers. It seems quality control in the factory is lacking. Given the price band, that is not acceptable. Not that the little ones will notice, or fail to add more creases themselves.
