i needed to attach my solar panels to the charge controller and rather than wire them directly into it where I wouldn't be able to disconnect if necessary, I bought these to allow the stripped in to be inserted into the controller and the quick mc4 connectors to protrude through the wall of my camper van for quick and easy disassembly since my panels are not mounted on the roof but rather portable. They worked great but 9in is a bit short even though I made them work

Perfect for my project

Purchased these for a Suaoki 100W flexible panel and they connect without problems. The wire appears to be slightly thicker than 12 gauge but not quite 10 gauge thickness. Average thickness is .950" falling close to 11AWG. The wire appears to be from a Chinese company so it is likely an error in how they converted their size to American standards. Other possibility is that since he end of the wire appears to have been tinned, that could have caused the increase size. Ultimately I ended using a 10 gauge (45 Amp) Anderson Power Pole connector on it. It crimped on without any play. The 30 amp connectors for 12 and 14 gauge wire were too small causing some strands of copper to not fit in the connector.As I only needed this one pair of connectors it made more sense than building my own cable assembly.Some reviews claim polarity was marked incorrectly on theirs, however, I see no polarity markings on mine. I ultimately used silver Sharpie to place my own polarity markings on the connectors to coincide with the same markings I placed on the panel.

Although they work and do the job I would have like for the wire to be copper because they are for DC current.

These cable tails were connected to the terminals on the solar generator. They allow easy connect/disconnect to the longer lose panel cables. The solar generator is built into a heavy duty rolling tool case (100 amp hour battery + solar controller + inverter + multimeter). When home, four 100 watt hard solar panels recharge the battery. When camping, three 120 watt flexible panels charge the battery.

The cords were necessary to buy to connect the solar panel to the solar charger. The solar Panel manufacturer (NewPowa) did not include these in the package when we bought the solar panel.The 9 inch was a bit short and I would recommend maybe a bit longer cord. The wires are not a single wire but a twisted wire (definitely not copper). It worked though and I am happy.
