I purchased this silicone wrap for my smaller flat iron tool that was a bit too small to fit in my silicone sleeves I use for general curling wands and other standard length heat tools my daughter has (I purchased those silicone sleeves on Amazon as well). This wrap that opens to a flat mat fits the bill perfect! Initially I had been concerned that with repeated use the "band" that is cut from the upper corner to use to secure the wrap would stretch out from the frequent use, but after a couple months (I often wait before I do my reviews just to be fair😊), the band seems to be holding well, retaining the integrity of it's original being, and doing its job. Of course with this being a wrap and not a sleeve, you do likely want to lightly circle the cord of your tool around the outside of the silicone wrap. I doubt many of us invest in a heat tool, then care enough to purchase a silicone heat wrap...and then proceed to dump the tool with a haphazardly tossed in cord to our drawers, and run. I would say if you have come this far...you care about your investment in tools (and other items in your drawer) therefore you have common sense of what needs to be done.Which leads me to cleaning. Hairspray overspray that commonly gets on our items can easily be wiped down from our tools with microfiber cloth if done regularly, but THIS can be washed with hot soapy water, dried with the towel you dried off from your shower with *bonus*, and you are back on board storing your tool for another day! Super find for me here on Amazon and I hope it helps some others out there as well.

Great value, good use, so far I am very happy with the product and how it protects my countertops.

Having recently spent a week living out of a suitcase, this thing proved itself a gem! It was super easy and convenient to use, wrapping my 1" GHD straighteners so I could pack them away hot. Bonus being able to use it as a resting mat while they heat up, too. This design suited me much better than the oversize sleeve/pocket styles. Great price for a great product, and I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this initially so I wouldn’t melt/burn the counters in our rental, but I’ve taken it on several trips too and it’s be wonderful! It’s small but wraps up beautifully and isn’t hot to the touch. The price drove me to give it a try but the product has me recommending it to several people.

The mat is a little smaller than I expected but it does the job great and I have no complaints! I love knowing my counter is protected and I can easily store my straightener without worry.

Great for preventing burns from styling tools on counter and added bonus of keeping your tools from slipping off counter. Use it both at home and when traveling.

This mat is perfect for restinf curling wands and other hair products on while in use. The problem with most wants is there's really no way to set them down so that the hot end isn't touching anything. This mat stands up to the heat just fine and protects the surface below it.Totally safe to use on hardwood floors, Formica and Granite counters, and even wood furniture. The fact that this rolls up around the tool and stays in place with the little strap is also awesome.
