Great Value For Money!
I originally bought two of these microphones in late 2015 and they still work well to this date. The top coating of the coiled cord on one of them has shed but thereโs another layer of insulation and the cord doesnโt coil so well anymore (See attached photo of mic from 2015) . That said I still use them both without issue. I purchased two more of these because I use then an all my cameras. I originally got these for scratch audio, but they work very well for shooting an event where persons need to speak directly to camera. I would recommend these in a heartbeat. For reference I owned Shure VP83 Lens Hopper mics and sold them because in my opinion these sounded better for much less money.

great mic!
we are amazed at how great our recording turned out! we were filming a short film in the desert and the wind was really getting strong. we had another camera on a tripod getting a different view and it did not have a mic attached to it. when editing the film, the camera with this mic on it(and using the dead cat), we had CLEAR sound! the other camera.....awful! couldn't use any of the voice on it due to the wind sound it picked up. highly recommend this mic!

Canโt get it to sit on my camera, so disappointed
Itโs wont sit on my camera. The round thing wonโt slide into the shoe adapter.

Decent for the price
My few flaws with it is the static noise it makes, and the fact that it can be really hard to unscrew it from things at times. other than that I think it does pretty good especially for the price

Great value for the price.
Only had it for a few days, but is working well.

Clear audio. Used with 20 ft extension.
Didn't spend a lot of time trying this out but the audio quality through my older canon video camera was clear and of more than sufficient level. Pleased with it.

Doesn't even work.
I bought this as a small addition for my IFDM classes in college. Mic doesn't even get power on a Canon Rebel T5i or T6i, no response when I tried troubleshooting on PC and a laptop, or when I used a ZOOM HN4.

Worth it!
Very pleased, especially considering the price! If you're on a budget then this is well worth it.

The wind sock was not as pictured.
The wind thing was not worth it. It was the wrong colour (not as pictured) and is it made of real fur?? if it is, gross.

Picks up radio signals.
I don't even know how this is possible, but the microphone picks up local radio stations both when powered on or off. The sound quality is horrendous because you're constantly competing with Katy Perry or whoever happens to pop onto the airwaves. This sounds ridiculous but really happens. Unfathomably terrible product.

Way better choices out there
1) It's battery operated, which is annoying. there are equal quality mics there that do not need batteries. 2) It's mono, so forget stereo sound. 3) It's MASSIVE. There are much smaller mics out there for better quality 4) Cheap feeling plastic. 5) Again this is the size issue, but this simply cannot work with a gimbal. Overall, there are smaller and much better mics out there now so this is simply not in the competition any longer.
