My Favorite Broadhead
Grim Reaper broadheads are very effective and in my opinion one of the best broadheads on the market. I haven't lost a deer yet using these broadheads and have been using them for years. Several years ago an archery store in Michigan recommended them and I have used them ever since. If you want to humanely harvest a deer or other game animal then this is the broadhead to use.

strong head
I have used these from when they first came out killed over 30 deer with them and they are the best head you can use go through bone and leave a huge hole and great blood trail and for me they are true to the field tip if not more accurate

Watch'em drop
These are great broadheads. The fly the same as field points. I like that there are no O rings to dry rot. If you do your part with shot placement, they will do theirs with large entry and exit holes and wide wound channel. I've killed dozens of animals with them.

Blades did not open
I just lost a nice buck on bow opener due to this broadhead. the buck was 40 yards from me and I put my crossbow (365 FPS) on my tree stand rail rock solid, put my crosshairs on the broadside buck and slowly pulled the trigger. I heard the bolt hit the deer. waited 45 min. got down from the tree went over and recovered my bolt and looked at my broadhead with all the blades still folded up. the bolt was covered in pieces of meat and stuff. No blood trail, looked for the buck but nothing. this is a costly lesion.

You do your part, these broadheads will do theirs
I waited a few years to post this review. I have shot 4 deer with these broadheads over the last 3 seasons. All have been recovered within 50 yards. The thing I like the most about these is they fly very true and include a practice head. I use a crossbow. I would not rely on "they fly like field tips". Sight in with the practice head and rest assured the hunting head will fly true. They don't include any rubber bands or o-rings that can fail. In all 4 cases they have opened without fail and been complete pass-throughs. However, I believe any broadhead would have done the job since all were broadside or quartering away shots taken at 20 yards or less and double-lungs. So, in my opinion the most important thing about a broad head is that they fly true. Most everything else is on the shooter. These fly true and will open..you have to do your part.

The name says it all Grim Reaper
Deadly accurate !I had never used these and they were put to the test day 1. I was out glassing with just the intent of scouting for the next week upcoming weekend . While calling a big buck approached . I was uncertain if I should shoot as I had just recently zeroed my crossbow for another arrow . I just screw the grim reaper on to a pile driver and had never even tested how these shot out of my crossbow. I have a Horton with 360 god so I wasn't sure how these would perform. I called the buck and and shot! Dead on zero in one side and going through the other side of the rib cage leaving a perfect x marks the spot . The buck dropped after a sudden bolt of energy but was dropped dead within 5 seconds of the shot !These are my go to broadhead!

Deadly, without o-rings or rubber bands!
Taken several deer with these broadheads. Deer dropped on average the same as with my 30-06. Expect all pass-throughs. The only con is that they arent quite as tough as Rage. The tips are better , but the blades can warp. These are my preferred broadheads. Larger wound and quicker downed deer. I shoot these through mesh windows without fail or inaccuracy. Also, I shot through a piece of paper on my target. The results told me the blades were closed on impact, then opened after the paper. This means they stayed closed in flight when shot from a Ghost 350(a concern I had because of the high power sudden jolt of a crossbow). Definitely recommend these broadheads.

fly great out of my crossbow
I was concerned as to how accurate they would be. I have tried some other mechanical heads and had less than satisfactory accuracy. But the Grim Reaper fly just like my field tips. No Joke !! I shot them all the way out to 50 yds. and hit right around the bullseye each shot. I was concerned about some of the reviews that said that the broadhead did not open , but I shot a deer with it yesterday at 35 yds., and the broadhead functioned perfectly. I had three blade cuts going in, three blade cuts thru both lungs, and three blade cuts going out . you can't ask for better that that. the deer only went 35 yards before going down.
