11 lb Louisiana Crawfish Co Sausage Turducken

Turducken, what's not to love, it's fun to say, fun to eat, and easy to cook. After years of waiting I finally took the plunge, I purchased a Turducken from someone (AKA Louisiana Crawfish Company) with good reviews. First and foremost let me say, it was worth it, I may not be a repeat customer, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. It was unique, tasty and a great conversation starter. It arrived quickly in a Styrofoam cooler with dry ice. I followed the instructions and thawed it as prescribed, cooked it in the oven and it crisped up and looked amazing. The taste was a bit gamey with the duck, but that was to be expected, overall I was pleased with the purchase. It is pricey (compared to a regular turkey) and it wasn't my absolute favorite tasting bird on Thanksgiving, but it gave us some great memories and fun stories to tell our friends. I would recommend to anyone, give it a try and see what you think.

This was my first turducken experience. It was packaged and sent right on time, and arrived perfectly. Got a deep freezer to hold it frozen until cooking time and followed all instructions on thawing and the like. It cooked up just as instructions indicated and aside from uncovering the wings and legs and cooking for another 15 minutes or so because they actually didn't cook faster than the rest (opposite the instructions), there were no other changes needed.Everyone else who came was having turducken for the first time too. After I let it sit for 40 minutes, I had a hard time carving it because the strings holding it were very hard to fish out from the meat at the bottom to cut. I got some rather odd looking slices that made me have to scoop up the duck part to get everything on the plates, and in the end I had so much going that I forgot gravy. Well, that was the main complaint about the turducken was that the white meat was dry. Most though were not entirely interested in trying something new - just wanted a straight turkey which I could do nothing about. Not the best choice for my crowd, but at least I know how to prepare them now.

 Showed up at my door still frozen solid. This was so tasty and the Cajun sausage stuffing was flavorful and spicy. I will absolutely order from this company again

Delicious. Most of my family hates turkey, so I wanted to try something different for Thanksgiving. They loved this. It may be my new Thanksgiving tradition.

Louisiana Turducken just as described. Cajun stuffing and melt in your mouth!!
