Excellent Soft Shutter, Confusing Listing
I have previously used one of these on my A6300 and really liked it so I ordered one for my new A6500. Previously I ordered the one listed on Amazon as the “Mini Soft-Release Button-Complete Kit (Red)” and recently I ordered this one which is listed as the 10mm Red Mini MK.II. They seem to be the exact same thing as far as I can tell. I will copy my review for the “other version” here and add to it a bit for the A6500 further down.[Original Review]Thought I would try one of these out after this was recommended to me by someone. I looked up the different sizes and picked up the 10mm for my Sony A6300. It comes packaged well with the button, two attachment points with adhesive and o-rings, an extra o-ring, instructions for installation and removal, and an alcohol swab.I appreciate that this comes with not only an attachment plate for flat and concave shutter buttons but an extra o-ring as well. The button is very nice and seems to be of a nice quality from what I can tell. The installation was simple. Wipe down the shutter button with the provided swab, wait 10 minutes for the shutter button to dry, apply the correct attachment plate and hold it to the button, wait for the adhesive to cure over the next few days, and so on. It went on easy and was fairly simple to line up. The only issue I had was that my shutter button rotates freely and so screwing something onto something that rotates freely can be a bit of a challenge but in the end it was not terribly hard to press the button and screw the soft release on tight. It fits perfectly on the A6300 and adds a nice contrast to the camera in general. The button has a 10mm diameter and raises off of the shutter button 4mm. This may be an issue for some because while it is only raised 4mm, that is enough to get bumped inadvertently or caught on things so be conscious of this fact when you buy it. For myself, it doesn't get pressed in my camera bag and taking an accidental photo every once in a while is not a big deal to me.Testing out the button I have to say so far I really like it. It does make it easier to press and with any part of your finger instead of just your finger tip. I used this both with back button focus and using the shutter button to focus and it works well with both. Off hand it will take more time with it to see if it really improves the speed and steadiness of my shots but it makes the shutter easier to press and it hasn't hurt my speed or steadiness so it’s only a plus so far. It's gonna come down to personal preference on whether or not you like using this button, but I can say for the price I paid(~$12), I like it and I think it’s worth a shot to try it out for yourself.[Original Review END][UPDATED NOTES FOR A6500]Basically the button fits fine on my A6500. I did the sizing chart on their site to measure my button and it was about 10mm so I thought the attachment plate would fit it near perfectly like it did on my A6300 which has a smaller shutter button. The attachment plate that I got looked to be the same from the previous version I bought. The plate still went on fine and holds well but I did have to be more careful to line it up in the center since it was smaller than the button. I guess the 10mm here is like my last one, just the size of the soft shutter button itself and not the attachment plate.Other than that, I really liked the soft shutter on my A6300 and I still really like it on my A6500. You just feel like you have a little more control and precision when pressing your shutter and I do feel like it you shake less pressing it. While you do still have to watch out and make sure the button doesn’t get snagged on something, it is a great button and I can still highly recommend it for the price.

Nice little addition
Attached easily and has held for two months now. Raises the shutter release for my big hands. And the little red button looks cool on the black XT-1.

Good while it lasted
It was very easy to install and it does make finding the shutter release much easier but it does stick up and I was concerned about catching it on something and tearing the camera shutter release button along with it. But before that happened, the red button got lost and I had a real hassle in removing the sticky post.

Very nice.
Works great! 10mm is nearly perfect for the Sony A7. It's about the same size as the factory shutter button.

the button feels great. the only issue i have with the product is that it snags on things. be cautious of how you place or take the camera out of you bag or where you secure your camera when not in use
