Performers 1st Choice Pro Heavy Leather Surcingle

This is a decent surcingle but the leather is very stiff and unlikely to soften with conditioner. It is difficult to get it tight enough when it is on the horse because the leather is so stiff. I was hoping for a little better quality. It has plenty of rings to attach side reins, a crupper and side check. The hardware appears decent quality as well. I just wish the leather were more supple. Hopefully it softens with use. I'm wishing I had just spent a little more so the leather wouldn't be so cheap.

The "leather" is has a stiff, plastic feel to it and the hardware is not heavy duty. Functional but difficult to fit.
