Our Occulted History is a nonfiction book about conspiracy. Jim Marrs writes about the alien connection with ancient history, DNA of other creatures, the Annunaki, New World Order, remote viewing, and many more conspiracy theories. As a conspiracy buff, I knew somewhere between one-third to one-half of the information, but a "layman" would be blown away, as I once was when first learning about the Watchers, Annunaki, and Sumerian culture. He uses all kinds of references, including the Bible, Hebrew texts, Sumerian tablets, the Indian Vedas, and more.My Review: I've purchased many books from conspiracy writers and must say that Jim Marrs is one of the best at laying out the information and then making a case that almost proves the theory. His writing is very clear and lawyer-like, making his views easy to follow. He is truly a gifted writer which is not surprising since he used to be a journalist.I love the book's content. For instance, one of the fascinating conspiracies that I was not aware of is the familial relationship between world leaders. For example, Obama is related to Cheney and Hitler was related to the Rothschild family. Thirteen or fourteen families have always been in power. Marrs goes into depth about the global banking situation. I didn't know that the Middle East is one of the few regions not controlled by the Rothschilds and a few other banking giants. Is it just a coincidence that region is so unstable? Maybe Marrs will write another book on that very subject. I, for one, would be one of the first to buy it.Our Occulted History is tailor-made for anyone who questions the world's history and existence. I originally gave this 1-star in hopes that casual scanners of the comments would look at the only (at this time) ONE star. I love Jim Marrs but my review would get lost in the large number of 5-star ratings, and what I say below should really be taken to heart by those attracted to such a book as Jim's. While I agree with him, there is another side to this issue that makes me wonder if people CAN connect the dots...But first, lets categorize the book appropriately: it IS a rework and expansion of the Rule By Secrecy, The Rise of the Fourth Reich, and The Trillion-Dollar Conspiricy books. And a very relevant subject... Humans are being subjugated and removed by the full- and half-blooded Anunnaki descendants. A lot of Humans have always been petty, violent and defective (by design) since their inception -- the Anunnaki could not "clean it up". (The Greys are trying.) Some of the Anunnaki Remnant have tried to help Man, but Humans are so dense that they don't know, nor can they figure out, who's helping and who's hurting. (I offered Jim to co-author a book on this very thing, 2 years ago, with me and let's connect ALL the dots and show why Disclosure will never happen... but what still CAN be done... he never answered -- and we live within 40 miles of each other.) He appears to be unaware of the Breakaway Civilization aspect and why that is happening... and yet he quotes Farrell (a hint for you, Jim).Moving forward, I have a background and contacts that allow me to work quietly for proactive resolution of the issue Jim so fondly decries (four times so far). Not all the Elite are bad, and some Insiders are derailing the more negative actions of the Elite Dissidents in an effort to still emerge with a workable, though less populated Earth. It has been obvious for centuries that Humans cannot rule themselves for very long without the Anunnaki Service-to-Self genes taking over, so we have not tried to completely stop that, just redirect it. (As posters on GLP and ATS forums have shared from time to time, Humans are not alone, and never have been. But right now Man is a prisoner here and Others seek to break the Elite's hold -- hard to do when Freewill is the order of the day -- they have as much right to control you as you will stand for... and many don't know they're being controlled, and so do nothing. That is why it has reached the escalated point that Jim writes about.)Lastly, his Occulted History book has new insights, quotes and very valuable 'summaries' of info in his 3 previous books -- earlier books could be replaced with this one -- it is well-written (but no footnotes and no pix), yet even my knowing what is going on and who is doing it, I couldn't put it down. Jim makes his case, proves it, and ties everything together that he knows of... I wonder if he knows about the rest of the story but was afraid to publish it? Whatever the faults in the world, surely one may find some perspectives here to challenge the illusion we all live in. Making matters worse, OUR OCCULTED HISTORY is an exciting package of ancient alien clues covering the formation of our planet up through the modern era with a dire, troubling end for most of us.The first half of the work is “Jim Marrs the Clever,” who delivers an excellent, fast-paced and very captivating narrative on all things alien; e.g., clues and revelations regarding our solar system and the moon, the human fossil record, ancient structures, biblical and classical translations, new and old archeological whitewash, et cetera. Known topics for some, unknown to others, but certainly exciting nonetheless.The second half is “Jim Marrs the Rant,” who leads into the modern era with an unapologetic, and apolitical, serenade about the governing versus the governed. Clearly linking the states of affairs of nations to the ancient alien theory, Marrs redirects toward the Blue Bloods (elite blood lines), the banking and media industry, global conflicts and natural resources, genetically engineered foods, government regulation and control, and perhaps our worst enemy to date, overpopulation of the planet (and the unsuspecting, if not likely, cure against the exercise of our free will). In itself an important link, not only to ancient alien theory, but perhaps even greater to current events in the United States.Reading into the second half built momentum for what was expected to address the cover’s question, but unfortunately led to a quiet conclusion which, ironically, was another question which read, “The answer to the last question is up to you.” Perhaps my understanding of the global elite concealing ancient aliens was based too literal, hoping to uncover new (green) alien revelations of, say, the post-Cold War era; perhaps next time, in his next work.Overall this is an exciting work to read and I believe a must-have for alien enthusiasts and especially for the pursuits of independence-minded (thinking and living) people everywhere.

This book and Jim Marrs hour (+) show on Amazon Prime are very enlightening in a number of ways whether or not one subscribes to "conspiracy theories" and belief in extraterrestrial life! This author is not stating one way or the other his personal beliefs, but Mr. Marrs' book is in fact very well researched and more importantly his research is very easily independently replicated by the average person, as I did!Of several areas, I focused on the Media, which he discuses. I in fact verified that our local newspaper's in the Gulf Coast Region of the United States, in particular the Mobile, Alabama area are in fact owned by a handful of Privately Held Corporations and families. IAW Wikipedia.com , the Mobile Press Register and a host of other local publications, as well as TV, internet, etc... are in fact owned by Advance Publications, which is turned owned by the Newhouse family. Oddly, local rumor/lore has it, the "owner's" of the Mobile Press Register reside in Fairhope, Alabama- whether true or not this author does not know. Furthermore, Gulf Coast News today is owned by the Osteen family out of South Carolina IAW editorandpublisher.com! Finally, IAW Wikipedia,com, as Mr. Marrs states Bertelsmann, does in fact own countless media and publishing sources.Just recently on National News a major sports channel fired a non Caucasian gentlemen for having the name of a Confederate General. Why was this done? One can assume, possibly, to deter US Citizens from naming their children after certain historical figures, that are currently anti-theme to main stream media- I will let readers of this review decide for themselves? Furthermore, IAW main stream media, the US is removing Confederate Monuments, and apparently its been reported movement afoot to remove monuments of Thomas Jefferso and Christopher Columbus- oddly, largely in the middle of the night! Is this not akin to Germany's Third Reich- Kristallnacht or Crystal Night (see Wikipedia)? Is Jim Marrs correct, with his other book "Rise of The Fourth Reich"- I will once again leave it to readers to decide?This is highly disconcerting for any number of reasons. First, if what I read long ago, for example, on OpenSecrets.org, a local Federal lawmaker's initial run for office was supposedly financed largely by the Mobile Press Register. So, if true, then would not the Mobile Press Register have a vital interest in seeing their "investment" do well? So one can extrapolate, why possibly certain US Administrations, get more positive press and others potentially get much less! So if all the above is in fact true, then is the US Media really non-biased? Think that is a question for our elected-officials?In the age of mass-media, and it costing billions of dollars to run for the highest offices, one would think finance campaign reform would be in order?!? Such that every political donor could only contribute a certain set amount, and would have to make themselves publicly known! Furthermore, why are non-US entities allowed to contribute to US political campaigns? Is that not foreign influence in US domestic affairs?Next, the US Federal Government, by history, is anti-monopoly. So if in fact the media is controlled by a few individuals or corporations, why has not the Federal Government, stepped in?One also has to wonder how much the media influence factors into legal/court decisions rendered by judges? Why, for example, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) with supposedly a over 98% conviction rate, incapable of winning all of the current US Administrations Immigration cases in their own Federal Court System? To this reviewer the numbers/statistics do not add up? Furthermore, is the US DOJ the only "perfect" Federal Government agency- when all other Federal Agencies are rife with problems like the US Department of Veteran's Affairs, IRS, etc...? So why has not the media picked up on this and done some true "investigative" reporting as in days long ago when a 4-Star General, could "trust" them with the date of the D-Day Landing, prior to it happening? Think these and many more questions are needed to be asked of ourselves and our US elected officials?Mr. Marrs also talks about "militarization" etc... of civilian law enforcement. In the State of Alabama, IAW the Media, law enforcement was utilized to intimidate state citizens by the former corrupt ex-State Governor! (look up "Stingray" and usage without a warrant) Also, Alabama has some of the worst and most dangerous prisons and jails in the US according to numerous media sources. So given the above, who says law-enforcement is not utilized by the "elite" to intimidate the common citizenry? If one subscribes to conspiracies, one could postulate that the media publicizes the deplorable jail and prison conditions in Alabama as merely a warning, that if one steps out of line, that is were one might end up and suffer dire consequences as a result- as nothing really seems to change on the deplorable conditions of the "US Mass Incarceration Industry" in the state of Alabama! and elsewhere! Furthermore, IAW the media and other sources, the Baldwin County, Alabama Probate Judge does not even have a law degree and has/had major ties to the former corrupt ex-State Governor aforementioned. This is important, as one can simply be very easily mentally committed in Alabama, which is just as bad or worse than being thrown in jail or prison for some simple violation! This is despite the US Department of Veteran Affairs own literature and other US Government literature (NIH, etc..) that severe mental conditions such as schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder are in fact not that prevalent, particularly among US veterans! (PTSD and Bi-Polar Disorder share similar symptoms!) Also in Alabama, IAW many sources, and local law enforcement officials, one can in fact be charged with “reckless driving” for anything and be threaded or sent to jail for it! This reviewer has, themselves, been victim of this, owing largely to the media and other US Government and State Agencies-like the US VA!Also, Mr. Marrs talks about ties to Royal families and dynasties of Europe. Oddly, before the 2016 US Presidential election, a former Honorable US President visited the Eastern Shore, in Baldwin County Alabama, to raise funds. Oddly, under his real family name, this Honorable Former President has relatives in southern counties of Alabama. Coincidentally, this Honorable former US President visited Daphne, AL right before the 2016 US National Election and shortly after the former US Attorney General visited Mobile, AL! Now IAW the media this former Honorable US President did not make enough in campaign contributions probably to cover his jet fuel, but soon after his visit it was announced that a major US Retailer, whose HQ is in state he was Governor, was going to open a major distribution Center in Mobile, AL!!! Now is this coincidence, luck or chance- readers of this review can simply decide, as in "Rise of The Fourth Reich" Jim Marrs describes the Government and Major Corporations working together toward a common goal right up front! Readers, simply decide for themselves in this case....(coincidence, luck, or planned???)Finally, on page 338, Mr. Mars talks about elites controlling food, environment and the financial meltdown. Well IAW very recent local media reporting, Mobile Bay Alabama, has Flesh Eating Bacteria, high pollution, and Mercury found in all sorts of species of fish, to the point the public has been warned not to eat certain seafood and the Bay itself, in parts, closed to shell fish harvesting! One wonders, where the EPA, FDA and CDC are in this “stew” as nothing on/of their involvement in a major way, to address and fix these issues, has been majorly covered by the local nor national media! What would it do to US trade negotiations if seafood this region was shipped overseas and someone got very ill or died? (I would recommend the book “Environmental Science for Dummies for anyone interested in this topic!) What about a US Shadow Government? Once again, it could be postulated, one already exists in various forms such as the US National Guard, for example, whom are not only associated with military, but employed in all sectors of civilian business/industry, as well as, local, State and Federal Government- to include law-enforcement! Then there is the “Sister City Concept,” were US Cities are teamed up with foreign cities across the globe… what is the true purpose of this, as it escapes this reviewer? (Note: This reviewer had the dubious task of Training the US National Guard for OIF/OEF, and was warned by numerous people not to upset them, as there would be consequences! Furthermore, this reviewer in combat in, the Sunni Triangle in Iraq, had to “clean-up” after some of the National Guard units associated with afore mentioned “training!”) Then there is the “Financial Melt-down” and the untold story, of how the super-rich, bought up property for a song and dance further enhancing their own wealth! On could possibly say that that occurs on the micro-level in on the Gulf Coast in Alabama. I mean utilities- internet, TV, power, water sewer, etc… are the worst anywhere in the world this reviewer has been. Everyone knows, this area will be hit by a Hurricane at some point, so is it not conceivable, perhaps, that given the massive number of billionaires (relatively speaking) and multi-millionaires in this area, that this is in fact not orchestrated to facilitate people leaving the area, as generally occurs, whom have moved into the area without ever experiencing a Hurricane? The property can then once again be bought up, for less than normal prices, by those with ready massive amounts of liquid cash and the cycle begin anew? Something, for readers to ponder?I have done a lot of homework and most of it has been sent to Federal Employees, etc.. or sent via a Federal Government Computer System run by US Department of Veteran Affairs and supposedly, as they claim, in a "vault!" (All US Department of Veterans Affairs & Volunteers are supposed to be "vetted" and have an active US Security Clearance of some level!) My reasons for doing so are in fact directly related to countless issues I have had due to media, VA, etc.... Attached are some sidles of a very basic Network-Pattern Analysis of the Top-3 Veteran Service Organizations, readers of this review can simply decide, once again, for themselves whatever they decide.....Bottom-line: No matter what one believes, I would recommend this book, as is a great thought provoker along with "The Greek Quabalah" by Kieren Barry and "Ancient Aliens" no matter what one personally believes! I love to read Jim Marrs. He is a master at making the most ridiculous conspiracy theories seem reasonable. He does this by quoting sources that sound authoritative and drawing connections between common, ordinary, verifiable facts. He does this in an entertaining narrative, usually a mystery, that leads you right up to the edge of his rabbit hole. Before you even realize it, you've fallen all the way down to Wonderland and the whole thing seems at the very least plausible.This time, he just shoves you in. You fall right from one rabbit hole into another. He is so transparent, the book becomes an excellent primer on how Conspiracy Theorists achieve their magic. Some of his sources are dubious internet entities. One is actually anonymous. You couldn't check them out if you wanted to. A few of his connected dots are so dubious, it is hard to imagine anybody falling for them. For example, he casually mentions how Abraham Lincoln made the Bankers so mad, they killed him. Well, Lincoln did make the Bankers mad. He made a lot of people mad. But he wasn't killed for issuing Greenbacks. It was that little war with the South that did him in. In other words, this is nowhere near the best Marrs I've ever read. You must be wondering why I gave it a five. Well, the whole thing was interesting enough I kept reading, shaking my head but reading. Before I knew what had happened, there I was standing in the middle of Wonderland, looking around and thinking: "Hey, he might be right." The whole thing started to sound plausible. The man did it again! I love to read Jim Marrs.

Our Occulted History is an amazing book, and another home run by Jim Marrs. It's about time writers start documenting what we are not being taught in schools, after all, history is made by those who write it. Jim has been investigating the unexplained his entire career. What this book does not do is preach, or pick a dog in the race, it simply presents information and poses questions not asked or ignored because the data does not fit into the mainstream science matrix.Our Occulted History is about human civilization and how it may have originated with non-humans who visited earth eons ago. It discusses the solar system and the strange and counter-intuitive knowledge we have of the planets and their moons, it ponders how numerous ancient texts and tablets tell of visitors from the stars colonizing the earth, but does it in a well written and logical way.How many people can name the planets in order, let alone tell you anything about their moons and the strange and conflicting information observed since Galileo?If you're looking for something to make you think, to ask questions, and to look at another side of the world you've never been told, then this is an amazing read. It's well researched, well written, and highly entertaining, very hard to put down. It's formatted great for eBook as well. Giving Our Occulted History 5 stars was a no-brainer.

Jim Marrs wants us to know that incredibly important parts of human history have been hidden from humanity in general, and this book is his latest effort to uncover these conspiracies and hidden agendas, and the secret organizations that carry out both guard and implement the occulted (hidden) plans. The book is great read, Mr. Marrs knows how to tell a story, and he moves quickly through from ancient times to the present, from religion to economics, from personal rights and freedoms to a coming police state that will make its predecessor's look mild in comparison.The overriding question for me in this book is simply, is it true? This book is heavily footnoted, the last on-fourth of the book are citations and chapter notes. Still, it is not really written as an in-depth look at any particular historical conspiracy or plot. Mr. Marrs cites a source or two for a remarkable claim, about, for example, the great pyramid of Egypt, and devotes 3-4 pages to it. Compare that to the volumes that have been penned on this one structure alone.This is a great book as an introduction to conspiracy theory. If you are inclined to agree with the author, then it will serve as a jumping off point for more a more detailed explorations of everything from the Federal Reserve System to visitations by extraterrestrials in times past. If you are a bit more skeptical, you might dismiss his discussion of the role of religion and money in society as an example of "Marxism-lite"; a very superficial rehash of some old, old complaints against God and Capitalism.I enjoyed the book, but did not take it too seriously. As a Christian my hope is in the Lord controlling the powers that be, and, when the time is right, revealing everything that is so carefully hidden now, hence the title of my review, quoting Luke 8:17.
