Fantastic showerhead
This is a wonderful product. very well made. I've had it for a couple of months now and I would buy it again. The adjustable flow is very useful as we like to conserve water, but also like to get the shampoo out of our very long hair. with the turn of a knob it makes rinsing a breeze. well worth the price for something that you'll probably have for many many years to come

Sloan makes an excellent shower head if maintained, it will last forever
Like the material and craftsmanship. This particular one was a gift to a friend. I have had the same model for 45 + years and as long as I periodically clean it and soak it in a small 1 quart container of vinegar it works just fine. Be sure to remove any seals while it is soaking.

Best quality shower head replacement out there!
This is the absolute best shower head that I have found and I found it by accident! Made in the USA, a rarity these days. It is very good quality and the flow is perfect. I will probably get another for our other bathroom? Does anyone know if Sloan makes kitchen faucets.

2.5 GPM, FLOW RATE
My third Sloane, well made, quality. HOWEVER, I did not take into account the 2.5 gpm regulation, very sad, not quite like the other's I've had.

Almost Great!
This is a great shower head in so many ways ... but the fact that the flow control valve doesn't completely shut off the water is a major flaw. In a water challenge world we will all need to reduce water wherever we can and this would be very helpful.

This has been my favorite shower head for a long time
I've owned or used one of these off and on for the last 25 years or so, and I always come back to this shower head. It's well constructed, brass and chrome. Not platic like a lot of the shower heads available now. That being said, care should be taked when installing it not to drop it. It's heavy enough to ding or scratch a shower pan or tub, or crack floor tile.Installation is a breeze. All you need is some plumbers tape and a wrench. Use either an adjustable wrench and wrap the claw/teeth part of the wrench with masking tape or something similar to avoid scratching the finish, or better yet use a sprap wrench. You can buy one here on Amazon for $10-$15. Don't over tighten, just enough to prevent leaking.I don't have great water pressure in my home. I would rate my water pressure as good and I have no complaints about the water flow from this shower head. The self cleaing feature is nice. Just give the ceter of the face of the shower head a push and it clears the spayers. This is a well made shower head and with regular cleaning and care, it should last a lifetime. If I had any criticism, it would the flow control valve. In the completely off position, I still get a small trickle of water out of the shower head. This may be by design, but I would prefer no water at all. This is not a major issue as I seldomly use this feature.

Highest Quality Showerhead/ Snails pace shipping
I know the Sloan Showerhead to be a high volume and high quality product as I have owned one for 25 years. Not related to the quality of the product, the shipping was snails pace slow from the vendor.

Made in USA
Quite possibly the best shower head on the market:* All metal.* Made in USA* Decent streamThe water passage through the ball is pretty large. So it will not be necessary to drill it out to increase flow. However, I loosened the Allen head screw and took it apart. There was a plastic orange thing in there, but the openings were fairly large. Not sure if it was a flow restrictor or not. I took it out, put the head back together and it still operates the same. I have a diverter so I can use a hand shower. The diverter probably is the largest restriction in my system. So I will need to remove that, and retest the shower head with and without the plastic orange thing, to see if it is actually restricting flow.If that plastic orange thing is not a restrictor, then the flow rate is probably pressure controlled. When you turn it on, you'll notice the face move forward to let water flow. There's probably a spring in there, which adjusts flow based on pressure: more pressure, less flow, to keep at at 2.5 gpm. I'll unscrew the main part to see what makes it tick, and to see how I can increase flow.
