I got the guitar to see if a classical guitar would fit my big hands better for chords, because I struggle a lot on steel string acoustics. The difference is night and day. I didnt expect to like the guitar based on some of the reviews, but figured it'd be easy to return. I won't be returning it. The packaging could have been better, but the guitar was fine. They included the wrong self adhesive pick guard with the guitar, but a couple back and forth emails and everything was good. Great sound. I've played nylon in the past and don't understand all these reviews about bad strings. All nylon strings have to be broke in, and retuned often in the beginning. These are no different. This is my new go to guitar. The lessons you can take on the website are pretty good. I never bothered learning chords with my old guitars, because my fingers were too big, but am using their lessons to learn them, now that I have a guitar that fits my hands. Super easy to adjust the truss rod. Very pleased with this purchase.

I love this guitar. It sounds beautiful when strummed. It's a nylon string guitar, so the strings are a lot easier on my fingers than the steel string guitar I had years ago. It's a full sized classical guitar, which is a bit smaller than your run of the mill acoustic guitar. This suit's me just fine as it's really comfortable to hold. It comes with a foot rest, which you will need to play it properly. Actually it comes with a lot of things to start you out and as far as I have seen they are all of fair quality. I especially like the clip on tuner that came with it. You'll need to return it often in the begining because these are new strings, but they will adjust eventually and stay in tune more easily. The accompanying tag on the guitar is in some very broken English, but I was able to understand what it meant easily enough. Your mileage may vary on that. It's also a beatiful guitar to look at. I think you could do a whole lot worse for the price.

This guitar package is an excellent value in my opinion and excellent for beginners with one caveat concerning a fairly high "action" (height of strings above fretboard). It makes a perfect gift because of all the goodies that come with it - electronic tuner, pics, extra strings, a foot stand (!), capo, cleaning cloth, fast winder. The one glaring omission is a simple "starter" chord chart and some songs that would be easy to throw in for almost no cost. Plenty on the web I'm sure. I was buying it for a friend who wanted to learn guitar. I could not give it to her until I lowered the action by sanding down the saddle to lower the action. I succeeded in making it much more comfortable to play, but you have to be careful attempting that -- go too far and you get buzz and need to buy a new saddle or you might make uneven loudness of the strings. The guitar has a very pleasant sound but does not breathe fire like an expensive classical guitar, to be expected. The sound is a hair too mellow for my taste, but you can get reasonable brightness with crisp finger technique or fingernails / pick. In a music shop, I tried another inexpensive guitar, the Cordoba Protege C1M, which is probably $70 to $100 more if you add in the extras and tax. I will say I prefer the Cordoba sound, it has just enough crispness to keep me happy and a beautiful action, although the frets are so low profile that you really have to bar a chord perfectly up the neck even with the low action. For for a beginner learning the mechanics or who might abandon learning to play, the Donner is a smart investment. It is a nice looking guitar sitting in a stand in a room. I wish it had a strap and at least a peg to attach one -- I guess most classical guitars don't, but it would be much more versatile if the Donner did. I recommend it as a beginner guitar or an extra guitar for casual playing, traveling or to get the nylon string sound. Who knows, investing in a saddle of better material and better strings might kick up the brightness if ever desired later on.

This guitar comes with accoutrements that are imperative for a professional musician and icing on the cake for a beginner’s evolution at an outstanding price point! I recorded my first contemporary jazz tune with a 70 dollar guitar and I’m going to record my next upbeat happy jazz composition with this outstanding guitar for the price for the love of evidencing how passion and price drown out the need for an expensive instrument for the sake of musical bragging rights. Either a guitarist can play or he or she cannot. You can’t teach soul and passion. “St James Court” is the tune on Amazon Unlimited that was recorded with the “cheap” guitar I referenced above. The Donner DCG-1 39 has the truss rod and tool to lower the action and for 109 dollars, unbeatable. Highly recommend it to any individual who is passionate to play — PERIOD! Donner gets 5 stars plus! have purchased several music instruments from this company and have been please until my recent purchase. I purchased this guitar and it looked beautiful and the sound is good but the neck is jagged. I frets are Not filed down properly and it keeps on hurting my fingers. I didn’t want to complain which is why it took so long to write a review. Got this for our 12 yr old granddaughter for xmas- it came packaged great, just a beautiful guitar with great sound quality once tuned. Case is nicer than expected plus all the extras and free online lessons-great dealIt is perfect for a young beginner - we know she will just love it.

What can I say? This bundle is perfect for beginners and even experts, the guitar is a solid instrument. After the strings settle they keep in tune, only the 1st string took longer to settle than the rest, but now it's fine. Amazing quality, feels great, easy on the hands thanks to the nylon strings and the low action.Also the included gig bag is very nice and useful accessories.

Bei dem Preis reden wir nicht über ausgefeilte Sitzenprodukte, sondern um einen soliden Klang, Bund- Treue und komfortabler Griff- Eigenschaft. Hat sie alles, und der Tuner als Stimmhilfe ist sogar für mich als langjähriger Spieler eine große Hilfe. Die Verpackung war extrem liebevoll (Saiten extra geschützt), und ich konnte sofort nach zweifacher Korrektur- Spannung loslegen. Die Fußbank ist witzig, weil es keine Halterung für einen Gitarrengurt gibt. Bitte nicht nachahmen oder unsachgemäß versuchen. Ich KANN Halterungen ohne Holzschaden anbauen. Geht auch im Fachgeschäft. Ich mag diese Gitarre gern.

Guitar is an amazing purchase! Sounds great! Has a nice gloss finish so it makes the guitar look nicer than the online picture. The shade of the top was slightly a darker shade than expected but no complains. Tuner works pretty well/comes with battery, Capo works nicely and has the peg remover attached when changing strings for steel string guitar, foot stand is and gig bag can be worn as a backpack it is lightly padded. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality first nylon string full kit! I do find this easier to play compared to a steel string guitar since neck is wider so more room for fingers on fretboard/nylon strings so much easier on fingers than steel strings. Shipped faster than expected!
