Did exactly what I hoped it would do....
I just returned from a 1400 plus mile (one way) haul to Taos, New Mexico. Average speed driving during the bulk of the trip was near 80mph. Average mpg with load hovered near 28 mpg on trip there and was 29 mpg on return minus the rack on top. Carried a custom headboard to a friend there and installed it. Load probably weighed around 100 pounds and I noticed the crossbars swayed a little downward in their center but was not any issue. Last half of the journey had severe warning headwinds through Kansas, Colorado and the northern mountains of New Mexico. This rack and the McGyvered trash can nose piece made the trip without a hitch. I installed both rails as far apart as possible and added little rubber pieces inside the brackets where they hooked over the rail for extra grip. Nothing moved whatsoever. In Taos I even used them to transport several doors and plywood sheets over the course of the weeks there. All brackets are substantially made and the design incorporates a strong connection with the roof panel. Plastic/metal tightening "nuts" were adequate and along with the lock washers and flat washers, held their grip. I may resort to a decent lock nut set up in the future. It is a KISS setup (keep it simple stupid) and instruction sheet adequate, though a few details were not pertinent to my model. Thanks.

Beware!
If it doesn't fit, and you have to return it, it will cost you $60 to ship it back, and if anything is "damaged" or (claimed to be) missing, there is a 30% "restocking fee". So, either way, you'll be a $100 out.It doesn't seem to be there at the time I write this, but there is still a reference to a "fitment table". At the time I ordered it, that list was so ridiculously long I should have been warned. But, the Toyota Matrix was on there, so I ordered it.It didn't fit. Now, I was installing these things when I was 11 on my dad's car for surf boards so I know what I'm doing. Specifically, for the Toyota Matrix it cannot possibly fit in the back because that car has a tapered trim (between doors and roof) that gets wider towards the back of the car and even the longest of three provided clamps was not long enough. But, we got the one in the front to fit (tapered trim remember so much narrower in front) and even that one, when rocking the car back and forth by holding on to this installed product (which is the test for checking whether it's properly installed), it would never have a firm grip. That is to say, instead of rocking the car back and forth, when going left to right, it would slightly move. Imagine being on the highway transporting something on your roof. So, I returned it. First, the return had to be approved by the vendor, which they did with the comment that they recommend it be "professionally" installed. But I was installing these things when I was 11 remember? Also, imagine having to hire a professional installer each time after you have had to take the thing off your roof. This is a BS argument. The installation has to be straightforward (and is) so an 11 year old can do it. Then, once approved, you have to return it immediately so they receive it within 7 days of approval. Beyond that, you risk a "restocking fee" of 30%, which they also invoke if any of the many items is (claimed to be) missing or "damaged". So, I had my son film me when I packed the thing up item by item. Note that at the time of my returning this item, it was temporarily no longer available, which didn't instill trust. Took it to UPS and had to pay $60 to return this $100 product that was falsely advertised. Now, I had gotten Amazon's pre-returning approval that they would reimburse me for the shipping costs whatever they were going to be so I'm out no money on shipping. My argument was simply that this product was falsely advertised as it could not possibly fit the Toyota Matrix as claimed. They also didn't charge me a restocking fee because I announced I had filmed the packing up, plus it got there on day 7 post return approval. So, I got my $160 back but am out wasted time. Order at your own risk. The product is back online, otherwise it would not have been possible for me to write this review. Note how it now says that it does not fit the "Toyota Matrix". You're welcome!(Professional installation recommended, yeah right!)

Slippin' & a Slidin'
Purchased for a 2006 Scion xA. Assembling all the parts was easy enough. Mounting the car was another issue. Here's the problems I encountered:* The rubber feet were not a good fit with the tower they attach to. They were out of shape and fell off easily regardless of the rubber nubs that push through* 3 of the 4 end caps to the rails fit snug and remained in place. 1 continually popped off no matter how many times you whacked it on* While the shortest brackets were the best fit, and the rack appeared to be secure as you could not lift it up or down... But it would slip and slide forward and back on the roof. I wouldn't even feel comfortable putting anything up there because I am certain a hard stop would send the entire rack and anything you were hauling flying forward off the car. A fast start seems like it would dump the rack behind you* Turned to the instructional video for tips. I've never been so turned-on by an instructional product video. I slipped into something more comfortable, closed the door and turned the lights down low thinking I stumbled upon the wrong video. Despite the 1980's porn soundtrack, an instructional video DID commence, in what appeared (at least to me) in reverse order.* While watching the video and confirming that I had done everything correct I learned that I didn't get really nice sturdy knobs to tighten the bracket to the car (palm-sized knobs as opposed to the small finger sized...which honestly would not have made an ounce of difference other than aesthetics)* Overall quality of the rails is decent... But that does you no good if sliding all around the roof of your car.If you read this far, you may also be interested to know that I am a Capricorn and I love hammock camping in the wilderness....

Kayak transportation
Fit my older car easily. Very easy to install and fit cradles onto it. Doesn't add too much height to car. Cap ends do come off easily so I lost one already.

Works pretty good once you get it tightened down well.
Worked well. It took a bit to get it tightened down. After that I put a storage container mounted on it. Ran in on the highway for a few long highway trips. Hasn't moved at all.

Three sizes
Came with several parts for the window hook. None fit my car even though it was advertised that it would.
