Very helpful steps. Doing a full engine rebuild and had to get used to reading the overall steps and then finding the steps for each item too. It has alot of helpful information and pictures

I have a 1984 Porsche 944 and this book in the wiring diagrams for the fuse for the turn signals is not the right one

My fiancés currently trying to repair his Porsche, this book goes step by step and it has images just so you never get lost on what your doing or just so you wont question yourself if you did it right. With this book you could probably fully restore your car, and for the price its good or its just good to have around if something were to come up .

I use this manual to do most of my own repair work on my Porsche 944. Besides explaining things in great detail, the manual also tells you if your problem should be referred to an experienced mechanic, because of its complexity or the need for a special tool only the dealership will have. Most important thing the book taught me: Porsche cars are over-engineered; that is part of the reason why the parts are so expensive!

Never bought the 944 I wanted, but I ended up reading through this book and learning every thing I know to keep one on the road when I do.

The book is a fairly decent guide for most things you'll need to do on your Porsche 944, however, it's more comprehensive when it comes to simpler tasks (both with descriptions and pictures) while it skips some items altogether and just tells you to go to the dealer (items such as valve job, ignition/idle adjustment...etc.) Well, the whole point of buying this book is so I don't have to go to the dealer and pay exorbitant amounts of money for things I can do myself. So, I'd say with this, and sites such as Clark's Garage and Pelican Parts (these both have all kinds of diagrams and parts reference drawings) you can put together a fairly good set of reference materials. Also, the B & W pictures included are sometimes very hard to read, and some key pictures are missing, however some obvious ones are there. For example, they'll give you a picture of an oil filter (which I'm pretty sure anyone can guess the location of) but not some obscure part that is only mentioned in a single sentence and is a key step to performing a certain procedure. I would also heavily hit the internet (google, forums) to fill the gaps when working on a car.

Kinda the reference standard if you want to do simple repairs on your vintage Porsche. Lots of good information here. If you’re a bit inclined to mechanical work and own a 944 this is the book for you. Probably also handy for 924 owners as well.

Bought as a gift for my son to do DIY work on his vintage car, however extremely disappointed to see the price plummet by almost ONE THIRD. Come on how can this be?????

Super manuel complet et détaillé, le seul défaut c'est qu'il est en anglais mais on le sait à l'achat. Sinon ravi de l'avoir acheté, il va beaucoup me servir dans ma restauration.
