Walker Edison Georgetown Modern Farmhouse Double Barn Door TV Stand for TVs up to 80 Inches, 70 Inch, Grey Wash

The 'grey wash' finish looks better, I think, than it did in the pictures and goes really well against a brick wall in my room. The sturdiness is no joke - I believe I could literally stand on top of this unit without damaging it. Assembly was easy enough, and I did it by myself without the second pair of hands that they recommended. The top piece is long and heavy and has to be set into several pins simultaneously; that's about the only place where an extra person might be useful. I had a couple of minor problems, neither of which was serious enough to warrant taking a star away from the overall rating. They give you a very small tube of wood glue to dab on the dowel pins during assembly. It's about half the amount I needed; when they say 'small amount' they apparently mean it. Also, the 12mm screws that are used to attach the cabinet door hinges are from a supplier with - questionable - quality control practices. I sheared the heads off of two of them just from the torque I created hand-tightening them with a Phillips head screwdriver. I'm a 71-year-old man with carpal tunnel; I look nothing like Conor McGregor. Of course, once you drive a screw into a piece of wood and the head snaps off there's no way to back that out, so my door hinges are held in place by two screws instead of three. They still feel sturdy and open and close smoothly with no resistance, so I doubt this will be a problem long-term. But if someone from the manufacturer reads this, you may want to find a better supplier.

Yet another Chinese piece of photographed wood furniture. This one we were very happy with. The color is great for most off white and retro looking. I have to say this was soooo much easier to put together than the bureaus with drawers. It was very straight forward to assemble with minimal pieces. They thought to put two extra legs in the middle of the bottom piece to reinforce and stop any bowing from weight. Being low at 24" it is extremely stable and the top weighs a ton. We put a 77" TV on it and it took up all but two inches of the top piece. It looks great and kind of downplays the large size of the TV. I tossed the mickey mouse school glue they included and used Titebond III wood glue. I put if liberally on the entire edges which joined and not just the little wood dowel plugs. An occasional wack with a rubber mallet or hard push with a hand and everything went together with totally acceptable tolerances. The cabinet doors are fixed hinges so no adjustment ability like a kitchen cabinet. They will line up as straight as you put the piece together. They can be very slightly adjusted by loosening the hing screws a little. All in all a very good piece which is sturdy, looks good and will last a very long time.

This unit far exceeded my expectations. I was finally tired of my old tv stands that I had from college and decided to spent some money to "adult" it up to the same level as my electronics. Still I did not want to spend a grand on a solid wood unit but I wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing - this fit the bill perfectly. The instructions were clear, parts were all clearly labeled (bag of spare parts as well), goes together very easy for the size, and is sturdy once completed. I like that all three shelves are adjustable and can be removed if needed. Amazon delivery was also way faster then estimate - 3 days instead of the week plus. Color was exactly as show as well. Pro: 1) Great size for larger tvs. 2) Good cable management with the holes on each back piece able to be at the top or bottom (decide where when putting together). 3) Sturdy 4) PRICE Cons: 1) This is my only gripe - the doors do have magnet stops that the instructions have you attach and there are pre-drilled holes for. The metal screw to place in the top of the door to cling to the magnet stopper does not have any pre-drilled holes nor was it mentioned in any step of the instructions. Simple fix to just drill the small one myself - but still an oversight.

The finished product looks really good especially for the price. The product was also packaged pretty well. I'm always nervous about buying furniture online because of risk of damage but even though the box was really beat up there was no damage. However, this cabinet requires at least 20 wood dowels to assemble. They sent me exactly 3. I thought they might have fallen out of the shipping box but the box with all the hardware was still taped shut inside. So, since I had no other time to put this thing together for at least a week, I decided to fix it myself rather than wait for replacement parts to be sent. I got new dowels at home Depot but the standard size they sell was a little too wide and also turned out to be too long. So not only did I have to slightly drill out every single hole I had to then go back and trim every dowel down so the pieces all fit together properly. I didn't HAVE to do that but again I didn't want this thing sitting in a box in my living room for a week waiting for parts. Also you'll probably have to drill holes with a hole saw in the back panels as there's only openings for wires along the top which isn't really practical but not a big deal. I would also recommend pre drilling the holes for the cabinet door hinges because they are center punched but not drilled..which is probably why people are breaking the screws. But overall I am happy with the finished product. The top and bottom panels are pretty thick and the whole piece is really sturdy. The center support leg is also a nice touch. And the finish looks good for faux wood. More color options would be nice.

I remember how excited we were to order this and then, when waiting for it to come, I read through countless reviews about the particle board or stability/bowing issues. No, this is perfect. It came from the delivery truck with a couple of punctures in the box and I saw wooden boards right there where things were punctured and thought, crap! That’s our boards for the item! No, they actually package this with thick heavy foam and then thin veneer type boards to further protect it shipping. Instructions were awesome and very straightforward, there were even wood grain little stickers to place over every screw hole area that people might see so things look seamless. This is absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone. We did not have bowing issues and have a 65” on top of it. Now, if we were going to move it to another place we will certainly give it the white glove treatment, take everything off beforehand, be careful, but there is nothing about the construction of this that makes us feel it is the fault of the manufacturing or build. I suspect that some people might have either put it together wrong and then had to rewind and take out pieces and screw or wrench things in again in a similar spot to have those sorts of problems. It is beautiful and has added to our quality of enjoyment in our living room, and so am a paranoid person when it comes to these things, so I recommend taking the leap! It is a great piece and worth the price.

This TV stand is beautiful! We changed our entire living room to a brighter, more modern farmhouse look and this is exactly what we were looking for. It also compliments our coffee table so well, it looks like they came from the same factory (they didn’t). It fits our 55” TV just perfectly. We built a frame for our TV to give that farmhouse look without paying for it and the stand still fits beautifully underneath the tv (which is about 65” with the frame on). The only complaint I have is that the backing that covers the entire stand came cracked, I was afraid it would crack even more once we screwed it in with the other pieces but luckily it did not and it doesn’t show since it’s on the inside. I wish the doors had a magnet for them to fully close but it’s not a deal breaker, the doors close just fine and it looks beautiful. We’ve gotten so many compliments since we got it and everyone asks where it’s from. All in all, I totally recommend this TV stand, it is worth the money, it’s sturdy and well made.

Disclaimer: this product is easily assembled with a power drill and not just the Philips head like the manual suggests. I recommend borrowing one or renting one if you don’t have one. However, try to do it yourself if you’re used to building furniture. Some of the steps can become a bit tedious, strenuous and stressful so be prepared to put about 2-4 hours into this project if you’re only doing it with a Philips head. It took me about an hour and a half by myself with a power drill. If you are feeling rushed to get this done you don’t have to glue the wooden dowels but it is recommended in the manual. I personally did not add the glue in case I had to return it, luckily that wasn’t the case and it’s very sturdy! This product comes with extra parts and everything is labeled for you for quick assembly! This item is very heavy in the package. The top and bottom part of this item are the heaviest. They do add extra wood and styrofoam to ensure your package isn’t damaged. Ensure that item C is facing the with open hole out so it is properly inserted. Step 7 will be strenuous with the hex key they provide you with but it gets the job done. Step 11 might be a bit difficult if the sides aren’t sturdy. I had trouble with sides but not with the middle. I suggest gluing the side if possible. Step 12 is a two person job but if you grab it from the middle it’s easier if you’re the only one building it. Then adjust the sides that aren’t inserted yet. I skipped step 13 because I felt like it was unnecessary for my wall because it will never touch. If you got some extra time it won’t hurt to add that step but it might be an extra 30 minutes. If you add the stickers to match the wood skin it appears as if it’s blended in quite nicely but not all of them stuck very well so I suggest wiping the area down from dust and debris. Step 15 shows to place item G in the middle but you will notice there’s more holes so you can change the space between each shelf. They do fit nicely in the middle for me as you see in the picture. Step 18 and 19 are very difficult without a power drill but if you don’t have one I suggest starting with the whole that’s by itself and then adding the other two. Step 20 is easier if done on its side but if you have a power drill starting with the bottom worked best for me and then securing the other two before moving to the top. You will be very happy with the final assembly! I’m so excited to finally see my entertainment system in my living room and am planning to purchase another one for my den.

We love it. It’s looks great and is a solid piece of furniture at a great price point. It also has a lot of storage space. It took two hours to put it together but don’t let that deter you because it’s worth it.

Easy assembly and correct amount of parts. There were few complaints I saw regarding difficult assembly but I think these people should not even attempt self assembly. I am physically crippled as a result of an accident where my both wrists were shattered and I have very limited movement of my wrists and and fingers as well as loss of feel in most fingers. With my condition I have assembled the stand in 3 to max 4 hours. All predrilled holes and all parts were done with very high precision that would not be expected from wood furniture manufacturing place. The only problem is with the wood screws for mounting the door hinges. They break. Break so easily that it is the shame such great smooth assembly fails at the end. I decided to keep the doors off for now and when I get the screws I may mount the doors back, or not. This should be the lesson for the manufacturer to provide stronger screws. I can assure everyone that my tightening was not too hard and even in my case I think I have 4 or 5 screws in the wood and the same amount of heads in my wallet. Mine is not the only complaint about heads breaking off the se screws, there were few others. Regardless of that i gave the product overall 5 stars even that the faulty screws should take off one point. I like the look and the easy assembly.

Took about half an hour to assemble with two people, got to the end and were missing a part. emailed the company about the missing part, they sent a form to fill out and shipped the part right away. TV stand looks great in our living room and is quite sturdy

The 1st stand took over 2-1/2 hours to assemble. In addition one of the last pieces (right door) was damaged. Ordered another one and only used the door for the first assembled one. Aside from that the stand is what we required for the 82" Samsung TV we recently purchased from Amazon
