Bought this switch to control the front door light, so I don’t have to find the key hole in the dark when I get home late. It works great. You can use either it’s app or Alexa to control it.Other things I want to mention:1. This is a touch switch. There’s no mechanical switch or flip-flop kind of thing. A simple touch will work. But if you are looking for a old fashion toggle switch you may want to try other products.2. It took me a while to find the neutral wire. So my experience is that if you saw a couple of wires connected together and they are not bare copper wires, that is most likely what you are looking for.3. To figure out the in/out, use an electric detector to detect those 2 wires(not the copper bare wire) connected to the old switch while the switch is off. The wire has high voltage should be the in, the other one is out.4. Of course the bare wire is the ground.5.If you have 2 switches in the same panel like me just buy a 2 gang panel from Home Depot or somewhere else, it should work.

This light switch is pretty awesome. Originally purchased it because it was the most affordable smart switch that was well reviewed. I installed it in about 15 minutes and it has not once failed to activate my lights at the time I have them set to. The app to use with this is called Smart Life. It easily walks you through pairing the switch with the app and the interface of the app is clear, minimal and very easy to use. Once the switch is paired you can set a schedule in the app and that's pretty much it. The switch and app just work and that is what I was hoping for. You don't have to activate the app or anything like that. Your phone doesn't need to be near the switch for the app to activate the switch. I think the app just programs the switch to operate in the way you have set it and it just does its own thing. Now I don't have to worry about turning my outside lights on at night and off in the morning. It just happens by itself and for some reason that is incredibly rewarding to me! I will definitely be buying more of these switches for the lights in back and the garage.

Literally took about 5 minutes to install, I checked everything a half-dozen times of course. It's very nice to the touch, there is no "travel" in the sensor however. It's just touch sensitive. I thought there would be a satisfying little "click" like a nice laptop keyboard, but it's essentially a solid-state switch.The accent plate snaps on very satisfyingly however - the clips are top and bottom so if you snapped it on and then decided to pry it off because you want to paint the wall, you might need a flat-head screwdriver because it's very precise.Also - don't screw in the actual switch too tightly, it needs more breathing room than the (likely) manual switch you're replacing.You will need to _shove_ in the wires behind the switch as this fat-boy consumes all of the housing pretty much. No big deal, but don't be afraid to use a little muscle when pushing the switch back into the housing.This switch uses the same app that the TanTan outlet switches use, and of all the "smart" devices I have, the setup is the easiest with this particular company. Mad props on that - it's a pleasure to register a new device. You do NOT have to do the classic "connect to the device's wifi name, register your wifi password, then switch back to your own wifi" - that's a PITA. This is painless.I will be buying more of these for the entire house. NO BRIDGE REQUIRED!!!

I originally tried a couple of these switches back in December 2017, and liked them so much that I installed a total of 10 of them. They have been working great until recently when the Scenes settings failed to turn lights on according to the sunset setting, then the physical switches stopped responding to any touch and can only be controlled via the app. Perhaps it’s a glitch in a recent software update, I’m not sure. But the fact that I cannot easily turn lights on an off makes this a huge problem.

i had a difficult time figuring out the wiring. All the videos/pictures/instructions show it all nice and organized looking. I had some funky looking wiring, random colors in my house. Probably old. But nonetheless, I had some family help that knew a little bit out electricity and wiring and we got it hooked up and working. Since then, its worked like a champ. I plan to get a few more throughout the year. :)

Easy to install, got one to try and so far it works as described. I have a 2 story house with WiFi router on second floor and have not had any problems with connection to the switch on first floor . Will buy more to replace other light switches. Before you buy make sure a neutral wire is available where switch is to be installed.

I bought this as an alternative to WiFi light bulbs. The product was fairly easy to install. I was able to find a video on YouTube that explained the process well. The only problem was the outlet box was about 1cm to small for the smart plug. I had to shave off a part of the plastic on the outlet box and then I was able to get the product in the outlet. It was easy to connect to my WiFi and Alexa. So far I have been very pleased with this product.
