Finite Element Simulations with ANSYS Workbench 19

Contains FEA content
This book walks you through how to actually conduct and FEA study, and the pitfalls that you set yourself up for when you don't understand what FEA is, or if you want to FEA the world. Now that, that run-on sentence is over. I would highly recommend this book to someone looking into FEA, even if you are doing static structural, this is a great starting point to show you what is involved in a Finite Element Analysis. Teaches you the FEA solver is a large calculator, feed-in bad data, get crappy results. Not check your problem initial conditions, loading, boundaries, then you get a result that does not pass the squint test.Get it, read it, use it. Does not look great on your bookshelf, because that is not where it belongs, put that on your desk and use it

Profits over integrity
I ordered this book believing the edition to be important to correspond with the correct version of the software. This cost me 60 bucks vs. 10-20 for an older version. This version is not properly updated to match Ansys 19. Figures do not reflect the new GUI. This is frustrating as someone trying to learn. I am constantly hunting for where something is in the software vs. in the book. The author and publisher deserve to be sued. If you are going to put out a new edition every year and charge more for it, update the damn book.
